Der Fasnachtsbrunnen ist eine Schenkung der Migros Basel zu ihrem 50-jährigen Bestehen. Jean Tinguely schuf 1977 ein Wasserballett mit 10 Maschinen-Brunnen-Skulpturen, das als "Tinguely-Brunnen" einer der beliebtesten Treffpunkte Basels wurde.

    BaselBuzz TOP Basel Downtown sight. Many of the art pieces spray water that freezes during the winter. Summer nights are great for a date and for an awesome picture, have the chuch in the background.

    Sollte auch mal im Winter, bei Temperaturen unter Null Grad Celsius, besucht werden. Phantastische Eis-Skulpturen sind dann zu erwarten.

    Built in 1977. It's author, Jean Tinguely, grew up in Basel (but moved to France). Visit his museum (just round the corner).
