Nice and well done but too small to become a real tourist attractioni refer to Municipal Administrators: push for new ideas, don't be inactive!
Looks pretty much the same compared to when I was there last 40 years ago. Slightly worn out, somewhat expensive for what you get. Still okay to visit if you are in the area but wouldn't travel there just for this site..z
Expensive, but very enjoyable. More information on each site would make it a five 🌟 experience. Two hours is about right for a visit, more if you stay for a snack. There is a good picnic area if you bring your own food.
Kids enjoys more even elders also enjoyed, beautiful place, nice information slips along with tickets in the counter given, good restaurants, bars, relaxing and tourists attractive place.
Perfect 1.5hr stop. Our boys 2 and 4 years old enjoyed checking out the miniature models and running trains/boats. The children's train ride was a fun side. Bumper boats and bumper cars are available by tokens. To those who commented that the models need updating, there were 3 models under renovation. Food at the cafe was decent. We had pasta Bolognese, a strawberry smoothie and chicken nuggets with fries. For those with kids, there is a great pirate boat themed playground across the street that we saw as we pulled out of the parking lot.
We're staying in Lucerne. Travelling to Swissminatur took 2.5 hours. Weather was hot. Even with 2 kids, we didn't feel worth coming here. Another mountain excursion could have been a better choice.
This is really worth a visit if you are in the area. Over 125 different models of real places in Switzerland and when you have walked around the place you feel like you have seen most of Switzerland. Very well done, with moving trains, cable cars, funicular railways, cars driving to the real life Zurich airport with aircraft on the runway. Also a ride on train to sit on and see the country by rail. It takes 1.5 hours to see it all at a nice speed.
Also has coffee, food, and ice cream.
Cute little place to take in all the sights that you might not have seen during your trip to Switzerland. Clean, kid friendly place.
This place is really wonderful, showcasing all the important tourist place of Switzerland and some of Europe. Situated at Melide. Staff is very polite . Discount applicable for senior citizens. Good place for family outing.
Good place, but could have been better if they had good stuff for kids to eat.as this has to be a child friendly place
Great place for kids with a lot of swiss historic for famous places. The small tour on train is especially appreciated by small kids.
Great miniature theme park displaying the most typical sights as well as traditional houses of Switzerland, a lot to see and to do for kids (e.g. ride on the miniature train).
Absolutely loved seeing all the infamous Swiss castles and historical sites in miniature form. If you never get the chance to thoroughly explore Switzerland and what it has to offer, do yourself a favour and check out Swissminiatur. If you're going on a sunny day (which I recommend), be sure to bring sunscreen and loose clothing as this is an outdoor venue and you can spend quite a bit of time examining the models.
