  The building itself has a beautiful and modern architechture. The exhibition and displays are of very high quality and are engaging.
  They have managed to incorporate modern technology like AR in a useful and fascinating way. Large wardrobe and an inspiring gift shop.

  Great place to learn more about Zurich and Switzerland as a newcomer. The exhibition is very up to date compared to the dusty museum it was when I came through as a backpacker in the nineties. Suitable for kids. The gift shop is accessible without a ticket and a great place to get unique gifts.

  Beautiful museum. Well moderated, interactive events. Wonderful lighting solutions. Fascinating use of technology to improve the interactive user experience. Clean. Good coffee.

  When layout comes before content: I can only suggest this museum if you have seen all else in Zurich. It's been renovated last year and the looks are good. But there is nearly no guidance of what there is to see. And the reason for this becomes clear when you start the visit: there is not that much to see. Well, of course , there will be a politically correct special exhibit about a current topic. But where is our (Swiss) cultural past?
  Sorry for ranting, but this museum is a good example of Swiss, it wants to educate you by dictating how a museum should be: thus the exhibits are limited and politically correct. Personally, I want freedom to see as much as possible and not just what others consider worth their while.
  While in the Louvre or the British museum you can carry a bag, here you must deposit it if it is not really small. There isn't much to take away anyway

  Also known as the Swiss National Museum, Landesmuseum is located right across the Zurich main station. If you have a Swiss Travel Pass, the ticket entry is included. If you have a student ID, you can get 2 Francs off. I first thought it would be more of a natural history museum but it's more like a museum of random stuff from Switzerland's history. It only took my boyfriend and I about 1.5 hours to roam through the whole place, but we're not really the museum type.
  
  I would say if you have extra time in Zurich and you're looking for something to do, Landesmuseum is a good option. Otherwise, it's not a must-see.

  Incredible museum with so many interesting permanent exhibits as well as several fascinating special exhibits. The original building is beautifully historic while the interior is sleek and modern. There is a lovely cafe that offers dining indoors or outside on a very pretty terrace.

  Almost endless. Incredible range of displays from religious pieces to large models of cities to spectacular ancient artifacts.
  
  The display for the artifacts was engaging and unique. A movable display screen slide over each display cabinet functioned as a display and a mouse. By moving the slide left to right and up and down the different artifacts in the display case could be selected. When selected more detailed information on that artifact was displayed. I'd never seen anything like it before and the only negative is that there weren't more of them.
  
  This museum is well thought out and, if you care about history, a must-see in Zurich.

  Great place rain or shine. The museum is highly interactive. The history of Switzerland is fascinating. The museum was in the midst of redoing an installation so getting from one place to another was a tad confusing for now. Highly recommend. The people working there were very good at being helpful.

  Central location. Modern. Often showing transformative eras of Swiss history. Good examples are the last big battle of Swiss troops in Marignano 1515 and Switzerland's role in the Russian Revolutions 1917-18.

  Nice and brief explanation of the history of Switzerland. I have been twice in the museum in the last 9 months and both times a different big area of exhibition was under renovation

  Absolutely amazing museum. Their exhibits are beyond phenomenal, I have never been to one quite like this. Make sure to do this while in Zurich!

  The museum is a nice exhibit of transition: some parts of the permanent exhibition have already been reworked while other parts hail straight from the dark ages. What I mean is, there is a modern exhibition on swiss history that I really like and there is a "classic boring museum" part. Still, I will keep coming back to it in the hope that they progressively update everything.
  The temporary exhibits are always very interesting and worthwhile.
