Beautiful location and was greatly surprised that we could take a ferry boat into Zurich and not have to mess with busses or trains or trying to Park our car. Ended up seeing everything we wanted to see in Zurich Old Town and with the added bonus of going there on market day. What a treat.

Pretty nice place overall with a couple of speedbumps during our stay. A colleague got scolded by someone from the hotel when he left a window open to get some air in his hot room and some rain splashed on the floor, and a barmaid resisted my requests on how to make me a cocktail. But the staff was otherwise helpful, courteous, and accommodating, the surroundings pleasant and restful, and the rooms were small but attractive and comfortable.

Very good service: the young girl at the reception was extremely kind and gave me useful informations of the surroundings. Rooms is clean, big, well equipped and with nice and classic furniture. Nice smoking bar with good drinks choice. Good breakfast. Big private parking. 10 minutes to ZH by car.

Als Einheimischer von Küsnacht habe ich selbst naturgemäss kaum eigene Erfahrung mit der Sonne als Hotel - einmal abgesehen von der stets makellosen Zufriedenheit meiner zuweilen hier auf Besuch nächtigenden Verwandtschaft aus Deutschland und Australien.
Als altgedienter Einwohner von Küsnacht bin ich persönlich aber begeistert von der Gastfreundlichkeit und der hohen innovativen Qualität in der "Turmbar" der Sonne. Senior Bar Chef Helmut, der weit über Zürich hinaus für alles und jeden die besten Adressen kennt, und seine sympathisch kongeniale Nachfolgerin Jelena mit ihren raffinierten Cocktails schaffen es, die Sonnen Bar als einen Ort und Treffpunkt zu pflegen, an dem anspruchsvolle Hotelgäste aus aller Herren Länder und einheimische Nachtschwärmer spontan miteinander ins Gespräch kommen können, aber auch in aller Diskretion eine geschäftliches Gespräch führen oder einen anstrengenden Tag ruhig für sich ausklingen lassen können. Eine unaufdringliche aber wirksame Lüftung sorgen dafür, dass sich Raucher und Nichtraucher hier im Fumoir der Sonne gleichermassen wohlfühlen, und machen die Sonnen Bar zu einem Ort zwanglosen Geniessens, wie er heute weltweit selten zu finden ist!

Siamo stati ospiti del Sonne per un matrimonio di amici. Cibo davvero buono, porzioni abbondanti, personale cordiale e disponibile. Ambiente raffinato. Pecche: aria condizionata accesa troppo tardi in una giornata con più di 30 gradi. Bagni leggermente angusti.

Food never changed..
Employees are very aloof.
Very over promised and under delivered.
Rooms have wood beams that are on a very poor angle, watch your head or it will hurt..
