We often eat here with the family and on days we feel extra special, my friends and I would also dine here. Yesterday for example.

Ristorante Beau Rivage is the only place in Thun, where we enjoy great service and get pampered with culinary delights. Each detail on the plate, from meat to vegetable to decorative herbs, is an exquisite surprise for the soul. Their wine range is very well picked and their recommendations always match. The locality is elegant yet cozy and functionality and cleanliness top notch. I am very thankful to have a nice restaurant in the area.

We are a young crowd, who happened to love dining well. And this is the only place, where we feel very welcomed and are not judged because of our age. Even toddlers are treated like royalty - or let me rephrase that - like part of one's own family. The familiar feel of this place is what makes it stand out the most. You can laugh and share jokes with the staff as if they were your siblings.

So I want to share a big thank you to Ristorante Beau Rivage for turning rainy days to cozy days.

Excellent Italian option with both indoor and outdoor seating. And, for Switzerland, reasonably priced for the quality. I would recommend sitting out back on the patio against the river if the weather is nice.

The food is fresh and tasty, wide assortment of desserts and drinks. The restaurant is consistently clean and conveniently laid out. However, the service was surprisingly bad. We didn't order water, but we were served. We were pressured to order meals quickly and didn't really feel comfortable overall. Don't expect service, just focus on your food and enjoy amazing cuisines. Alles guet.

Classic Italian restaurant on a lovely spot, with impeccable waiter service. We had lovely fresh and grilled funghi porcini as a starter and a nice white barolo wine: a treat!

This is the most unfreiendly resturant in Thun. My husband and I sat down for 20 minutes and we didnt get any acknowledgement nor attention. However after making muliple eye contacts, the waiter (the heavier set man) came and cleared half of the table, but he didnt greet us nor ask if we want to see the menu; so we left.
