A very well known large pub just in front of the train station. It's a quite safe choice to get a beer. They brew their own beers (only the 3 typical styles you always find in the region). It's usually crowded in the evenings. They also serve food and pub snacks. Frequented by both locals and foreigners.
Excellent burgers. The locally brewed beer is great. Very good service.
Nice place to go if you come to Geneva, it is located jus in front of la gare so come a try one tof the best artisanal beer ever ! And the service is great, very kind and nice servers I may say.
The point of this place is the beers (okay, ales) which are made on site, and are very tasty. That said, they are also exactly the same three styles every other brew pub in Geneva: blonde, blanche, and ambre.
Otherwise, it's a standard European pub: The food is fine, but not particularly cheap. It can be hard to get the attention of anyone who works there during peak hours, so prepare to belly up to the bar and make your presence known. Offering to pay with credit card sometimes produces an eye-roll. Manage your expectations if you want to drink anything other than the house ales as the bar is not extensive.
Staggering distance to the main train terminal and several tram line stops.
The atmosphere can be a bit sports bar like, but the food is of a higher standard. They also offer their self-made beers.
Permises getting a bit dated but home brewed beer is still tasty. Also Flammenkusch (which is similar to pizza) is excellent and worth a try. Public can be variable depends of time of visit.
Good hamburgers. I have tried also the fondue but I have found also something better in Geneva
The food is always incredible. They listen to your exact orders. Waiters were nice.
Good ambiance expensive beer basic food good location near Railway station
busy pub nr station. good beer.
Beer is okay. Food is okay. Has a nice atmosphere though.
Very pleasant bar to have some good pub food. Only had a burger and the meat quality was very good. My gf had a chicken burger which was good, but I'd stick to the beef burgers. Beer is home brewed and very good also. Definitively recommend for a lazy Sunday lunch.
I used to go there when I was a teenager, and 20 years later I still love this place. They have a good beer that they produce, good variety of food. It might be crowded, but it worth it. If you are a big beer drinker try the "Colonne", up to five liters of beer served at your table in a plastic tube, great to share with friends!
Want a giant 3L column (with tap) of beer, or to post up at the bar, watch some football (soccer) and try some delicious apps and local brew - then this is the place. Crowded and fun.
