The talent in this place is awesome
Best natural Coiffeur on town!Service absolutly excellent!
Excellent service! Also in English. Nice atmosphere, lovely staff. Pricey but worth it if you want to treat yourself.
Really good service, a bit pricey but totally worth it.
Thanks for great service! Consistently good. 👍🏼☺️
Not a great experience.
Twice I've booked and been let down for well in advance pre-arranged lengthy hair treatments. The straw that broke the camel's back was when they let me down on a hair treatment before my holidays!
Plus they wanted a deposit. I've never had a hair salon ask for that. And since I was travelling on business - that was impossible YET the front desk were adamant they needed a deposit.
They knew who I was (had haircuts and colour refresh), but they still stuck to their guns on a deposit although I explained I was busy to come and was good for the total payment of this pricey treatment.
In the end I went with another salon who were most flexible and provided an appointment the following day - no need for a way in advance pre-booking.
They've now lost my custom. I've lost trust and don't see them as value for money. The place is looking tired too - the sofa and chairs definitely need replacing.
I wouldn't bother.
I sent my feedback to the branch manager who seemed abrupt in manner so I replied with disappointment at her response to feedback. Then her senior manager attempted customer recovery. She was much better. I listened but heard empty promises and nothing was done in terms of a complimentary treatment to win me back. So I waved goodbye and am enjoying another salon who has five star reviews 😄
Pamper time. Pricey but really good for a treat.
There are some talented stylists and nice people working at Aveda - but you have to get past the challenge of the front desk staff. You provide specific instructions on appointment availability and they usually provide the oppositeor you arrive for your appointment and are left waiting, your appointment is missing or are rushed during your treatment. If it weren't for the great stylists I go there for, I would never return to Aveda Basel. I am often humored because they treat me as if I'm a difficult customer, but I don't understand why it's such a challenge for the staff to understand that working professionals have only certain availability and cannot come at any time.
Fantastic all inclusive scrub, massage..
Klasse salon!
This was the most phenomenal, easy, spa experience I have ever had - and I am an exchange student in a foreign country so that says a lot! I called in for and scheduled a facial appointment the very same day, and when I arrived a bit late to my appointment my aesthetician greeted me with water and a smile. She was kind, thorough, informative, and went well over the hour appointment that I booked to finish the job, even though I was the one that arrived late. When I went to pay, the receptionist asked if I worked for a partner company or was a student, since both received discounts. This up-front manner of handling discounts is new to me (usually it's some big secret you have to find out about) and I greatly appreciated it! The whole experience was so incredibly pleasant - can't wait to go back.
I am a loyal AVEDA salon customer - in every city I've lived in (or visited), I've always chosen Aveda for their products, cool stylists and great technique. So going to the Basel branch was a no-brainer for me. While the products are great as in every Aveda salon, I can't say I found the high standard of style and technique in this particular salon. Maybe my unfortunate (nearly 2 hour!) session was a one-off, nevertheless, it included all of these:
- due to lack of hairstyle lookbooks, I was given a gossip magazine to flick through
- my hairstylist's hands were shaking the whole time (cigarettes? or did she know what was to come? whatever it was - does not give confidence in your abilities!)
- she used the dreaded thinning scissors on my very short hairstyle (now means I have lots of 1 inch-long hairs sticking up all over my head!! looks like I need a haircut rather than just had one) instead of thinning my hair with a full pair of scissors and skill
- suddenly the music was turned off and the salon closed - I had to pay for my unfinished haircut - and then endured another 30 minutes of frantic cutting in an empty salon
All in all, it was probably the worst haircut I've had so far. I am hesitant to try Aveda Basel again
