While the ride on the Pilatus Bahnen provides some of the most spectacular views of Lucerne and the surrounding alps, folks with mobility problems are treated with indifference when it comes to boarding and exiting the train. While the train was lowered down to permit boarding by two visiters in wheelchairs, three of us with moderate to severe mobility problems were made to climb the stairs to board the train. As we struggled to get to the trains, employees stood and watched. All though the trip provides spectacular views, just beware that if you need assistace in taking this trip, you will receive no help from the folks running the Pilatus Bahnen.

Fun way to travel up to the summit if Pilatus on this cog train. It is steep and the views are stunning.
