The organ music was ethereal! Do take the stairs up to the Bell tower, amazing 360 degree view from top. It's 5 CHF to go to the top, they accept EUR but only bills not coins.

Nice cathedral and you can get in and look around. From the outer place around the cathedral you have a nice view over part of the city. Close to the historical museum.

One of the first gothic cathedrals. Built between 1170-1235 when Lausanne was an important city for the papacy with its bishops. You may pay attention that the Church of Saint-François which looks similar uses a different type of conception. This cathedral is a living symbol of the artist connections between France and Savoy at that time.

This cathedral was absolutely beautiful. Unlike so many that you see, the simple stone interior, intricate carvings and stained glass windows took us back to another time. Well worth a look.
