Sehr gemütlicher Ort mit sehr freundlichem, hilfsbereitem Personal und sehr gutem Essen. Gutes Frühstück. Unser Zimmer war leider mit Teppich ausgestattet.

Eremitage has a very Swiss feel, and is situated in the small & quiet town of Arleshiem. The rooms are quite spacious with large windows, which you might want to open up for ventilation on warm days. Being a family run business (and being Swiss), the service levels are quite high. The town itself has little to do apart from the castle & lake, and is completely shut on Sundays. Basel city is 20 minutes by public transport; the bus & tram stops are just 1 minute from the hotel. They offered us a free travel pass on the entire TNW network (which is much larger than the pass with 3 zones that other city hotels offer). We also had dinner at the inhouse restaurant, and the Cordon Bleu was awesome (we'd never had that in India). As the host, Marc is very approachable & helpful when it comes to help getting around Basel-land.

Very cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The rooms are rather spacious.

We also enjoyed a great and price worthy dinner.
