Couple days stay here is an amazing, riverside hotel, old building around, flags, clean and just across the bridge then walks few minute to get the castle
Great location in Thun which is a wonderful place to visit. Rooms are very small with poor ventilation. Average cuisine which the town centre with a good choice of restaurants can compensate.
Beautiful rooms and friendly staff. Only downside is that the place was under a bit of construction when we were there.
Hotel is nice, but go for the regular rooms not the economy rooms. Two small and no view.
Room is quite compact but is fulfilled with all necessary facilities. The hotel is located next to a canal splitted from Lake Thun. So, we could walk along this canal to see beautiful turquoise colored water in the canal.
Rooms too small, beds too stiff. During any kind of heatwave it is miserable inside the rooms and it does not cool off at night. Decor is very drab on the inside and does not match the outside. The only thing that I liked was the location and food at the restaurant.
Good hotel. The rooms are a bit too small and you might need an adapter for the power socket, but the place is clean, the services are good and the food is quite nice.
Very well placed. Rooms are a bit small but with nice views. Amenities are a bit scarse. Buffet breakfast is good.
We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. There were 6 of us needing 2 rooms and we hadn't booked, but the friendly staff looked after us very well. Pleasant, quirky contemporary rooms, great location and views and a fab breakfast. Highly recommended.
This hotel had everything we wanted. Great room, great view, nice staff, and the most amazing breakfast we had in all of Europe and the breakfast was free! The view of the river and city was incredible. The room was in very good condition and was extremely modern. We loved the bathroom! The bed was very nice too! Overall extremely pleased with our stay!
My stay was saturday to sunday in July.
The hotel is located very much in the centre of Thun, at the riverside. 5 minutes to walk from/to the train station and the dock, where the boats leave and land.
The rooms are rather straightforward size - clean and modern style. Not much luxury in there. A plus is the free 2 bottles of mineral water in the rooms and the water boiler - don't bother looking for a fridge/minibar, there isn't any. Bathrooms are not very big - you better use it one person at a time. There is a very small triangular balcony, you may step outside and have a smoke or look at the river and the garden below. Also the hallway to the rooms is not decorated too lovely, it is obviously no place to spend time but to get you to your room. As you mostly don't spend much time in a seminar or city hotel, we were not disappointed by the slim comfort you have there. Apart from sleeping and getting ready for leaving you spend almost every minute outside of hallways and rooms anyway.
The style and outfit of the hotel bar, the restaurant and the reception was very appealing, though. Also availablity of parking space is a plus, although our car was a little too big for it (Van with more than 1,90m didn't fit in the garage) but the problem was solved quickly - we were allowed to park outside.
The staff is exeptionally friendly, no problems occured with any request we had.
We liked the morning buffet a lot, very rich and with good quality of all goods offered, we did really miss nothing there.
The price is rather high, or swiss standard, as some could say - but in the end price/performance suited well. I can recommend this hotel.
