Gorgeous views of the mountains and town. Comfortable rooms and a very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast provided. We enjoyed the steam bath in the evening.

When you're in Gruyere, you don't need frills. So many sights to see, and if you're spending time in your hotel, you're missing the point. In that light, The Hotel de Gruyeres is fantastic - centrally located but with its own car park so you don't have to lug your bags through the medieval town (all uphill over 13thc cobblestones for all other hotels!), the staff was extremely accommodating, and the property was clean, comfortable and professionally run. I would have liked a little more of a lounge for relaxing in the evening after a long day on the cobblestones, but this was a great stay nonetheless.

Authentic hotel in a mountains. It's nice and clean with a friendliest staff. Rooms provide astonishing views.
