Free wifi, clean bathrooms and a lot of shops ! There are lots of small shops, you can buy small souvenirs, Swiss knifes, chocolate, Swiss watches, partum and all of the typical airport stuff. The staff is friendly. You have free fast Wi-Fi but it is hard to login. The airport is big but for most us flights you will first fly to Zurich. ( I flew from Geneva to Zurich and then Zurich San Fransisco ) the flights are long and boring. I would recommend to take the taxi to the airport and not go there by car if you wanna stay long

Other than the usually long queue at the security points before you enter the shopping/gate area, I would say it's one of the most convenient airports in Europe. It is as large as needed, the gates are of agreable longing distance which is enjoyable due to the art projects seen frequently(video below) . The shopping area includes a nice variety of brands and the lounge is quiet clean and with many options and helpful staff. Also very few to non excistent delays ;)

Very effective security procedure with polite guards. Never queued for more than 10 minutes. Good infrastructure, cozy and within easy (and fast) reach from the city center.

DOV:17August2016 Excellent airport with lots of area and well maintained. There is a metro facility and if you have more than 2 hours for transit, you can use the same. You can have a quick visit to Cornavin station and have a nice time around the river, within the transit time.

Lost & Found service became digital and super fast. The staff was incredibly friendly (usually i don't expect much from an airport) and I got my tablet back the next morning with no waiting, no paperwork, no frustration))

I loathe going through this airport and try to avoid it when possible. It is hard to find the information you need, prices are insanely expensive (especially with the exchange rate), and the last time I was there (Sept 2016), the situation with a canceled flight was handled completely inconsistently from one person to the next.

This is an ageing facility where the infrastructure has reached its capacity to serve people and it now brings pure inconvenience to everybody using it. Immense queues in the security check (40-50 mins to reach the security control). Nobody is keeping an order in the lines. Old equipment in the security check (we are talking about Switzerland). Expensive and small variety of shops facilities and amenities in the check in area. Just compare it with the Zurich airport (same country, same prestige of the destination).Last not least, absence of parking spots in busy days.

Very poor organization of security check. The waiting time was very long with convoluted queues.
Access to gates involves a lot of walking. They should consider alternative means for quick commuting between gates.

True 21st century airport in all ways. Modern looking and efficient but expensive. It outperforms all other airports I have been to in cleanliness, travellators and quick moving security. A good experience on the whole but looses a star for long bag drop off queue at peak times. Be prepared.

Geneva Airport is very old and is in urgent need of renovation. Despite this, however, it is relatively well organised for most of the time, however in busy periods the airport just can't cope with the crowds. Be wary of really long security queues, especially in peak summer and winter season so allow at least 2 hours before your flight at those times. Being in Switzerland, the shops are overpriced but bizarrely more so than high street shops. Hopefully the new terminal under construction will improve things.

Terrible airport. Avoid at all costs. Old and falling apart. Unfriendly employees ( at the check in counter B. Selmani was incredibly rude) Security lines are too long. The Swiss lounge is dirty and lacks seats. Passport lines are very long but they move fast.
The gate area is unbelievably small.
    Just pathetic overall.

The security is a joke!!! The lines are massive because it's so small . Here's a thought build a newer bigger terminal building with several security check points will help everyone get through quicker and happier. If it wasnt for the food court before security it would of got a 1 star..

OK, not too big so it can get crowded especially at the security check, but then you don't have to walk a lot, except for terminal D. The duty free is quite good but not fantastic. I like Swiss chocolate and there are several shops so good point. Otherwise it is pricey to have a bite or a drink.

Woefully inadequate airport. Too small to handle the passenger volume.
Flew Swiss. Slow check-in / bag drop, chaotic security queue with staff unable to fast-track passengers with imminently departing flights. Allow two hours at the airport if you're checking in bags.
A thoroughly un-Swiss experience - compared with Zurich airport.
    A new terminal is needed.

I often fly from this airport. I find it really old (arrival luggage collection, front part of the building, the commercial centre close by etc), too small for the volume of passengers vs airport such as Dublin & Zurich Airport and others in the world. This is not any longer a small airport with overs16 millions passengers so it should reflect a better international image. This being said the railway station below is great and proximity to city, palexpo & motorway is really good.
