  What a great hike from Grindelwald up to the top! It was about 4h with some stops & breaks. Some parts of the hike were tough but overall a great experience.

  I visited First back in 1984. Coming from Australia I was just awestruck by the incredible beauty and sheer ruggedness of the Eiger. Taking the 1/2 hour chairlift ride to the summit was fantastic, not even sure if they have that particular chairlift anymore, but it wasn't terribly high off the ground and watching the little dams and hearing the cow bells left me with enduring memories I shall never forget. Even as a 21 year old I felt humbled and so lucky to have been able to visit such an amazing place.

  Amazing views, don't miss this. Rode the cable car to the top ($30), hiked to the lake and back, and had the choice of walking down, taking cable car, or renting different toys to ride down.
