  We were very lucky to get this place by chance in late reservation for our Hiking vacation, in village Randa, near Zermatt region.House Bergdohle was truly fantastic, with calm and serene surroundings. Rooms in chalet were all neat and clean, with full kitchenette, and we were greeted by Bottle of Local wine :-). We arrived by car and left in near by house parking. Randa train station is just 5 min walk. There are very good family hiking trails starting from Randa, especially Randa --> Täsh --> Zermatt. Host Paul & Esther are really wonderful people who extended all help and information, to make us feel at home. In nutshell we had a great vacation and lasting memories to carry along

  My brother & sister-in-law and my sister and I spent two days (September 8 & 9, 2014) at Ferienwohnungen Wallis and found the accommodations very nice and the hospitality of Paul and Esther to be most gracious. We flew in from New York to Milan and the luggage for my sister and I did not make it. We arrived late in the evening at Randa and Paul and Esther were gracious in getting us settled and in even providing some food, drink and enjoyable company to make us feel welcome. Paul also graciously tried to track down our luggage for us. I highly recommend lodging at Paul & Esther's Place at Ferienwohnungen Wallis if you are coming to the Zermatt area.

  We had a wonderful stay hosted by Paul and Esther. Everything was just right for us, the place was clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen fully equipped. Paul is ever so ready to assist with information required, even right after booking was made, before we arrived. We greatly appreciated his advice which enriched our trekking experience at the nearby trails and also at Zermatt.
  
  For those who may not know this, and I didn't find this information from the internet research earlier, there are train services from Randa to Zermatt regularly, and you can purchase multi-visit pass from the Randa train station. There are also trekking trails with starting point at Randa.

  We stayed by the family Summermatter in april 2014, after trawelling Haute Route.
  The stay was very very good, the appartment are fully equipped with all you need, very plesant beds where you kan get a good sleep and everything is so nice and clean. Best of all is the landlords, Mr and Mrs Summermatter, and not to forget grandmar Summermatter so nice and helpfull with all you need.
  I can reccomend this Ferienwohnung to everybody and are giving it the best score.
  Randa itselves i quiet nice place and having a good place to eat out if you want, 10 min of walking and you will find an Italian cook, the worlds biggest fan of biathlon, making fantastic meals in a fine athosmosphere.

  We were travelling with extended family and one baby, and stayed four nights in the first floor apartment of House Bergdohle. The apartment is very spacious and clean, and our stay was extremely comfortable. Our hosts are very friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond expectations. For example, they prepared for our little one a whole suite of supplies (a crib, a changing table, several baby-sized towels, and multiple sets of baby dining utensils), making the place feel really like a home away from home.
  
  Their website gives a very accurate description of the place and the how it is equipped. The kitchen is really fully equipped, if you cannot find something, don't hesitate to ask. Most likely it is just tucked away in an unexpected drawer. When we visited a really nice service offered by the hosts is that we can directly order bread, through our hosts, to be delivered to the apartment fresh in the morning. While shopping options are somewhat limited in Randa itself, both Taesch and Zermatt have "regular sized" (by Swiss standards) grocery stores (with branches of Coop near the their train stations).
  
  Taesch and Randa have very well groomed winter hiking and cross country skiing trails, as well as sledging pistes.
