Basel's English Dentist, Dr Garry Bonsall, dental surgeon, loves the Cathedral, Munster, in Basel
Definitely it's a beautiful building but staff is not friendly.
Very beautiful building in Basel. The building is huge and the detail is stunning. You are free to look inside. Definitely one of the top highlights to see when here. The outisde is as pretty as the inside.
Basel's English Dentist Dr Garry Bonsall reviews Basel Minster
"Our most wonderful cathedral, building took over 500 years! Most of it survived the Basel earthquake of 1356 and the reformation when the Bishop was kicked out in 1539, making Basel city a town once more. Built on the hallowed Pfalz, the site of a pagan place of adoration and a later Roman temple but the best is the view from either tower
Beautiful from both the inside and the outside. The view on the other side over the river is great. It's very nice to walk through the church halls and see all of the wonderful art and sculptures further inside.
There was a great free concert here when I came on a Saturday at noon - Stravinsky's Firebird played on organ.
Climb the tower for a breathtaking view over Basel and the surroundings. Be aware of at times medieval security standards though.
Beautiful! I fell in love with it when I first moved here, and now, nearly two years later, I'm just as smitten! I see it everyday when I cross Mittlerebrücke and wouldn't know what to do with my eyes if it were somehow gone! I've been to the top several times and enjoy it very much. Totally worth the hype as a Basel "must-see"!
Beautiful tall church towering over the city heights
A charming cathedral, there will be a cute Christmas market there if you visit it in December.
Beautiful. Just beautiful.
Happened to encounter pipe organ concert, priceless.
