Been there during rain and fog with almost snow during August enjoyed and guided tour anx it was amazingly great. Authentic experience. Drove all the way up with a large motorhome slightly adventurous but worked well.

Impressingly huge! Nice easy walk on the top along the lake with typical alpine nature. Relatively easy to get by car.

When you see this dam from valley, it looks almost fake. Its astonishing building. I recommend visit in autumn, because its filled in maximum capacity.

Wonderful and impressive place.
The biggest gravity dam in the world and you can visit it !
Is really impressive too to see the lake level varying each time you visit the place.
You'll find near the place a restaurant and hotels as well as mountain cabanes to spend the night.

Its a few years since I visited but is well worth a visit. The views from the dam top are stunning but the view from the base of it looking up makes you realise how small and insignificant we are.

You have to park in a car park and then walk up to a small cable car for the climb to the top. This isn't free but wasn't expensive. You can walk up to the top of course but I know I am not fit enough. Vehicles carrying disabled people are allowed past the car park so you don't have far to walk to the cable car.

Nice cafe at the top and for the more adventurous people there are paths along the west side of the lake
