Spent three nights in the mixed dorm room. The location's really close to a bus stop. The breakfast buffet is great. The management is uncomplicated and open hearted.

Amazing, basic accommodation offering everything you need!!! Best bar! Tremendous. They have the best people, believe me. Other backpacker hostels are just sad, a disgrace. For me it will be caprilounge first!! Drain the luxury hotels in laax. Fake hotels!

My friends and I were planning to go mountain biking and were looking for affordable accommodations either in Flims or Laax, and luckily we found this hostel. We weren't very choosy about hostels, as long as the rooms are cheap for students like us. We took the dorms for 4 nights, with shared bathrooms.

The owner, Gusti (I hope I spelled his name right), a welcoming, laid-back, friendly person, let us use the kitchen/ dining area, the utensils, microwave etc, although we were eating take aways and instant noodles. :) I have been to many hostels/hotels, and most of the time they don't let us bring outside food into their dining areas, but this hostel is an exception!

A few friends of mine needed to rent bikes and luckily they even have a bike workshop! In comparison to a couple other bike shops I've surveyed in Flims, they had the best deal with bike quality and price. Gusti even offered us knee and elbow guards and full face helmets. We were reluctant at first to accept since we thought they would cost extra, but since he insisted it's dangerous to go biking without them, we accepted them anyway. On the last day of our trip we found out that he only charged us for the bikes. The guards and helmets were on him! He even had those bike lifts tickets available. So, that's a plus!

Not many hostels owners trust guests to pay the rooms later. We paid on the day we left. He even left the whole hostel to us for a night or two, since nobody else were staying overnight during that time. I mean, having the whole building to ourselves was quite awesome! Haha.

He said we were easy-to-care guests who didn't need much attention, since some guests tend to be nitpicky and fussy about everything. That's why he trusted us and let us loose. :)

I'll recommend this hostel to those who are not choosy about rooms and bathrooms. More luxurious hotels can be found nearby at the Laax Bergbahnstation.
