Much better than one of the formulaic hotel 'boxes', this hotel has a nice ambiance and is staffed by people with just the right amount of attention. We thoroughly enjoyed the views from our room at the top of the hotel, overlooking one of the town squares, and - with the windows closed - we heard little traffic noise.
We had a package - found online - which included breakfast at a very reasonable rate. Breakfast was taken in a pleasant room with all the types of food you could need to start a day.
If we have any criticism at all, it would be to do with the bathroom which, although well equipped and laid out, was liable to be slippery underfoot if wet. The shower was over the bath, which meant extra care was needed when moving around in it, particularly when getting out as the side of the bath was quite high. We did mention this to reception staff on our departure.
However, this does not diminish our overall pleasant experience at this hotel, and we would readily book again on our next trip.response / report this review -

Nice rooms, staff, and great location near Cathédrale St Nicholas. Convenient to all activities in the old city, as well as bus/train. If arriving by train, it's a 15 minute walk downhill with no bags, or a 5 minute bus ride. Highly recommended!

Very large room, very clean and tidy with a great view. Bathroom was very big with bath. Coffee making facilities, good beds and a quiet location even with the church nearby.
Friendly staff speaking English and some English breakfast items in the morning.
Great staff, great rooms but the front door makes you think it will be small.response / report this review
