Dr. Swati Khanna has extensive experience in all aspects of dental care, from root canal therapy to dental implant treatment. She has a special interest in, and talent for, children’s dentistry. With a soft voice, gentle touch, and strong mothering instinct, she quickly gains the trust and friendship of our youngest patients. She understands that dental appointments can feel confusing and intimidating for a child, and she strives to help them feel confident and in control. Before beginning treatment, she explains to the child that they can tell her if something hurts, and she will immediately stop. This approach tends to melt away the fear, even for highly anxious children. Her standard of care is to treat every child as she would want another medical professional to treat her own precious children.

Dr. Khanna is a University of Toronto School of Dentistry graduate, and a firm believer in the power of education. She dedicates a great deal of time to inspiring, encouraging, and teaching children about oral health in a fun and positive way. She participates in many community outreach programs, including local elementary Brush-a-mania events. She also spends time providing dental care to underprivileged families in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. Seeing the joy that she is able to bring these families is one of the most rewarding experienced of her life.

When she isn’t busy caring for patients’ smiles, Dr. Khanna’s priority is caring for her two young sons. In her rare free time, she enjoys spending time in nature, practicing yoga, and stealing a quiet moment with a good book.
