Explore ways to shift perspective and serve yourself with wisdom. Learn the transformative yoga tools of asana, meditation, visualization and self-reflection to minimize some of the challenging aspects of all phases of menopause, like insomnia, hot flashes, agitation, low libido, anxiety and weight gain. Stimulate your endocrine system to release hormones for balanced wellness.
Private consultations and supportive workshops will provide practical information on asana practice, dietary guidelines, essential oils and other useful lifestyle tips for peri & menopausal women. Your personal program is designed to educate and empower you to look at this transition in life and to discover who you want to be and how you want to live.

YOGA FOR THE CHANGE WORKSHOPS

The moon cycles of women influence hormones. In this workshop you’ll learn the basics of your hormonal system, and how to use it to replenish your body with vitality, your mind with peace, and your spirit with balance. A vibrant, purposeful and fulfilling life through menopausal transition will be the focal point of our afternoon retreat.
We all find ourselves physically fatigued, mentally disempowered, and spiritually empty, at least to some degree. Give yourself the gift of a few hours sanctuary and retreat to recharge and renew.

Topics of discussion and practice include:

1. Understanding your endocrine system & how your hormones may be affecting your symptoms.

2. The rejuvenating and restorative yoga practices to energize the deeper systems of our body and to harmonize our hormones.

3. Best practices for sleep, hot flashes, night sweats, stress, mental fogginess and oh some many more.

4. Yogic philosophy and practice are increasingly being used therapeutically to help women rebalance during menopause. Find sanctuary in their unique application with asana (postures), meditation and pranayama (breath work).

5. Introduction to meditative techniques for recapturing our scattered mind to make it focused, sharp, and aware.

There is a special magic when a group of like-minded women, who all share a strong desire to live well, gather. A 3 hour workshop for women ages 35-65.

YOGA OFF THE MAT ~ MONTHLY GROUP

YOGA off the MAT is a contemplative group program that dives into The Yoga Sutras and the 8 Limbs of Yoga. The Yoga Sutras written by Patanjali outline guidelines for living a meaningful and purposeful life. At the heart of yoga practice is inquiry, transforming mind, body & spirit in positive ways. With YOGA off the MAT, I envision a book club/discussion group as a way for us to deepen our conversation of yoga on & off the mat. I wanted us to have more points to connect the dots of what was happening on the mat into our daily lives and vice versa.

Gatherings will be the last Monday of every month. Please join the group. Begins March 28th 2016 at 7:30 pm

YOGA NIDRA CLASS

YOGA NIDRA is a highly relaxed and deep state of meditation that progresses through the many stages of mind. Yoga Nidra, meaning yogic sleep, is a journey through stillness and mindfulness in order to gain greater sense of clarity, calmness & serenity. In this deep sleep guided meditation (shavanasa) your conscious mind will gently flow through thought patterns, emotions and sensations that can sometimes bring you a higher form of understanding oneself.

In Yoga Nidra you will travel past the waking stage, beyond the dream stage, and into the realm of the deep sleep stage, yet you will be awake and conscious. After relaxing your body and calming your mind, you will feel remarkable restored. It is thought that Yoga Nidra is 5 times more restful than sleep.
