Seemed pretty luke warm, tell the people what sounds good type of church.
Great church! Holy Spirit filled and led Pastors of integrity.
Love my churchWe have a blessed church
Good church, always welcoming visitors. And people there from all walks of life. And preaching biblical truth.
And ministry there for all ages.
I help out with the children that is a wonderful way to meet others.
This church has changed my life in so many ways. When you walk in you can feel the love of the people and the Holy Spirit of God moving. It doesn't matter what you look like or what you drive. Everyone is welcome. The messages that are preached are from the Bible, the Word of God. There are free classes to help you with so many problems in life. The Pastors are loving, caring and down to earth and keep up updated on what is going on in the world. People truly care and will stop you in the hall and pray with you if you need it. Nobody is pressuring you for money, in fact they discourage you to give if you do not want to. God doesn't need your money, but He wants to see what is the most important thing in your life. Yes there are a lot of people and you may feel overwhelmed at first, but we have a visitor room where you can go to after and meet the Pastors and other wonderful people who will put you in touch with a small group that you can attend weekly. If you need food, clothing, counselling - its all there for FREE. The most wonderful amazing church I have ever been to. Its my home and I love it.
When I was first directed to this church in February of 2002 I was broken. I found myself vulnerable and in dire need of stability, and it seemed that WCF - and more to the point, God - was maybe, just maybe, the key to that.
Unfortunately it became increasingly clear that this church is involved in the Charismatic movement, and I found myself quite often leaving the church on Sundays feeling more spiritually depleted than when I arrived.
Connecting with other people was tricky at best and horrifying at worst. Me in my ripped jeans and ancient vehicle stood in stark contrast to the wealthy and affluent congregation members.
I found myself grappling with God and trying to accept his Word, but it seemed that his "disciples" were little more than folks in a cushy job preaching circular answers like, "You haven't surrendered to God's will".
I eventually left because I was tired of travelling across Windsor - often by bicycle because my ancient car would break down due to my obvious love affair with sin [biting sarcasm here folks] - only to sit and listen how God needs ten percent of my money and how the church needs to give a "love gift" to special guest ___________ this week. And then the message was often some cryptic interpretation of Scripture which frankly held zero relevance to my life situation.
Thanks to the shallow, plastic people at this church I became thoroughly convinced that God is, at best, apathetic to me, and at worst malevolent to me. I recall Pastor RJ teaching a Wednesday night class on moral reprobation, and I realized that I needed to embrace the reprobate lifestyle.
I decided that I was in fact God and I am the Almighty. I am the only entity that matters, and I choose moral reprobation as a creed that I measure every moment of my life by.
So thank you, shallow and plastic money-loving people at WCF, for showing me that God is nothing more than a marketable tool that is used to drain finances from the masses. You finished breaking me and without my negative experiences and heartbreaks I would still be a kind but useless idiot endlessly buying into hope that is not there.
Awesome church! I've been a member since March 1993. My husband and children also love the church. This is home to us :) My parents, sister & her family also attend.
