The West Carleton Inferno Junior Hockey Club is very happy to announce Jerry Boucher as our Equipment Manager. Jerry is a resident of nearby Kanata, just a few minutes from the Inferno’s home barn in Carp. Jerry is a very experienced equipment manager having served with several Junior B clubs including the Stittsville Rams in the 2014-15 season when they won the EOJHL Metro-Valley conference.
Jerry embraces every opportunity to make a difference for the players, to help them achieve the best they can on the ice. In turn he receives the utmost respect from the team, knowing that he is key in helping them achieve results. Welcome to the staff Jerry.
Head Coach Hamish Fraser adds, “I have been lucky to have Jerry help me for a few years. We would be hard-pressed to find anyone who is more passionate about hockey and works as hard as he does for “his” players. All players he has been around have loved Jerry and I am sure it will be no different for our Inferno players. We are very lucky to have Jerry with us.”

The West Carleton Inferno Junior Hockey Club is very pleased to announce Mitch Kerwin as an assistant coach. Mitch is a Carp native with over 160 games of junior hockey experience having played with the Kanata Stallions Junior A and the Stittsville Royals/Rams Junior B clubs. Mitch honed his hockey leadership skills when he wore the “A” for the Stittsville Royals team for 2 seasons including the 2014-15 season when they won the EOJHL Metro-Valley conference.
Mitch, noted for his exceptional knowledge of the game, has been able to successfully parlay his experience into coaching competitive minor hockey. As an assistant coach for the West Carleton inferno, he aspires to help the players excel in the game and at the same time wishes to continue growing as a coach at the junior level under the mentorship of Hamish Fraser. Welcome to the staff Mitch.
Head Coach Hamish Fraser adds, “I coached Mitch for a few years and always felt that he carried himself in a way that demanded accountability from his teammates but also from the opposition as well. Mitch brings valuable experience that will be important for developing young players for Junior Hockey life.”

A few words on West Carleton Inferno head coach Hamish Fraser's coaching philosophy
With respect to his coaching philosophy, Hamish says, “I am a communicative style of coach. I encourage players’ input and by doing so create a strong relationship built on respect. I put the players first and thus create tight bonds that allow for success on the ice but more importantly, I believe it helps enable success off the ice as well.”

We are very pleased to announce that Hamish Fraser has accepted the position of Head Coach and Associate General Manager for our inaugural season in Carp ON.
Hamish is a resident of nearby Carleton Place, married and a proud father of 3 hockey-loving children. He brings a wealth of coaching experience to our club. After many years of coaching competitive minor hockey leading to 2 season championships and another 2 seasons as finalists, Hamish turned his sights onto junior hockey. Another 7 years in roles as coach and general manager at the junior B hockey level with the EOJHL and CCHL2 led to 2 division championships and another 2 strong showings as league finalists. Hamish was awarded the EOJHL Coach of the Year honours in 2012-13 while he was the Head Coach and GM of the Perth Blue Wings.
