The local coffee shop seems to be a dying idea but Weeds is still around and doing a great job. Wonderful atmosphere, great coffee and food items, and a nice little outdoor seating area. I notice that many reviews mention that they are "cash only" and while this was once true, they finally have a debit/credit machine available! The only thing keeping this from being a 5-star review would be the staff. Occasionally there will be a friendly face, but for the most part, the staff seem barely aware that you're there, having a conversation with them. I suppose it wouldn't be a local coffee shop without uninterested staff though!

Quaint little cafe. Not much for alcohol selections. Food items are made fresh to order. Seating and tables look like they weŕe all found at garage sales or abandoned on the street. I guess that's supposed to be part off the charm. No debit machine, cash only. There is an in-house ATM with pretty high withdrawal fees. Its a popular place among UofC and SAIT/ACAD students as its situated between the two.

I was there this morning for the first time as I need my espresso badly for that morning. I am new around that area and Weeds happened to be near my work. It was a cozy and friendly atmosphere there I could say. I accidentally spilled my espresso as I was about to leave , everyone were willing to help clean up, customers and staffs....and was given for another espresso for free ...I'm thankful for that...now I know where to drop by for a good coffee and espresso 😃

Pretty good vibe, okay staff, great food/coffee, god-awful tea lattes. Maybe the milk was off or the steamer. You know how lattes are supposed to have a smooth, almost creamy palette with a sweet finish, making you feel warm and whole again with rejuvenation? None of that. Just watery, stale sadness in a mug. Got them to remake it because it was off, but it was just the same taste of mediocrity and disappointment. I will be back, but not for the lattes

Every time I've come here the service has been amazing, fast and friendly. Everything I've tried on the menu has been my new favorite thing. Thanks weeds cafe.

The coffee is good with Bailey. It's small and cozy. Its hard to find a table that i need my assignment.

    A good espresso.

Here's the but: they've charged me for the largest size of latte but have made it into a cappuccino a few times. Milk to foam ratio is important! (At least to me)

The botched attempt at decorating this coffee shop in a rustic manner somehow works. It's a fusion between abandoned farm house, cozy cabin and modern art gallery as they sell artwork hanging on their walls. The coffee's and food are first rate. The staff could be more affable. Judging from how packed 'Weeds' usually is, they have discovered a formula that has worked for over twenty years from my recollection.
