Weather Tech was great at every step of the installation: prompt, friendly and responsive, on time. Very professional and friendly techs. Kudos to Matthew, Kevin and Joelle. Will recommend them highly to friends and neighbors.
Purchased new furnace from Weather Tech in November 2017 and happy with installation. Furnace shut off in October 2020, signaling ignition wouldn't lightnot something that should happen with a 3-year old furnace. Called Co. to ask about it and told they charge $125 +tax to come and figure it out - and this is key - told 'if a repair to the furnace was required, the costs for parts and any additional labour may be extra'. Chad, their repairman, took 2 minutes to restart/'repair' my furnace. It turns out the 2 wires into the pressure switch (controls ignition) had come slightly out (how that happens in an enclosed system ?). Chad tested that corrected issue by turning the furnace on and off 8 more times and was finished all in 10 minutes (in and out of my home in 15-20 minutes, taking longer to write up the invoice than get my furnace started). The invoice included an additional $60 charge which I had not been quoted and not authorized so obviously questioned. Chad said 'the $125 was just for leaving their officeeverything else has an additional charge'. I thought it was totally unfair but naively paid ithappy to have my furnace working. Fast forward to it happening two additional times - once January 2021 and once in February 2021 - and called others to repairboth done, again, in 5 minutes. Questioned them about whether they thought it was right I'd been not only charged the normal $125 fee, but an additional $60 for this issue and they both said the $60 was clearly 'padding the invoice'. Phoned Weather Tech (without divulging name or past service) to ask what was included in their $125 charge and confirmed that's all I should have been charged for Chad's visit/'repair'. Called the next day to provide my name, the details of my October 2020 visit, and asked for a refund of the $60 additional charge given it was not only unauthorized but not applicable and was refused to be provided with a refund. Was told 'Chad was no longer with the Co.' as if that should be enough to placate me. The only way to ensure companies like this charge customers fairly is to bring attention to them when they don't so they don't get other people's business and will take advantage of them as well.
