Quick n easy parking with all you need from a Walmart store
Excellent selections and prices. Portrait studio is overpriced.
Unbelievable! Employees don't even properly rotate their food products. I bought a bag of pasta here on July 20th only to see the exp date on the bag say MAY 14th 2017!!! AND THESE PEOPLE THINK THEY DESERVE TO BE PAID $15 AN HOUR!? Absolutely pathetic!
This Walmart is great!!! I've never seen so much selection across the border before. Usually the Walmarts in the USA are better, but this one is good!
Great holiday help folks working, in the yellow smocks.
Still too Walmarty though =p
Hopefully, you'll understand.
Can definitely feel crowded & overwhelming. A little Costco~y at times, but that's to be expected at Walmart. When it comes to toys & health & beauty, their prices always seem to be the cheapest.
All Chinese/foreign garbage that eventually falls apart. Prices keep climbing on many products, too. Poor checkout process. Debit machine "malfunctioned" and took money out of my account twice. Took over a month of goose-chases to get my funds back. Easy returns though. Selection is hit or miss. Either they have plenty of what you want/need in stock, or they don't have it at all. It's not unusual to see bare/empty shelves for weeks on end. Management has changed as of March, 2017. Was a poorly run and managed facility before (with low morale), and the verdict is still out on the new guy. We'll see, since this location had notoriously bad management for years. It's a Walmart, so one can't get too excited I guess. It is what it is and fills a niche market, and we're likely stuck with it since there aren't many other shopping opportunities here. Washrooms recently renovated, but the process took way too long in my opinion. Watch for expired meat/produce/dairy. I've had issues before. Has a McDonald's and free Wifi, and a few other amenities. I get in and out as quickly as I can, and try to do the remainder of my shopping at the Superstore or elsewhere.
A lot of items always appear to be out of stock or on backorder. Half the tills are never open. In a store with a total of 25 checkout lanes, you'll be lucky to see 5 open at any given time. A complete MADHOUSE during the busy holiday shopping season. Main washrooms near the front entrance were closed for renovations for over 2 months (something that should've been completed over the course of a mere week had they hired the right people in the first place). Many workers appear tired, overworked, and downright forlorn at times. McDonald's is just that--junk food, but their free coffee promotions are nice. Hair Salon is passable if you need a quick cut and not too fussy over the results. I've never used the portrait studio or vision centre. Grocery Department is hit or miss as far as meat & produce goes, and the rest of the store itself is full of your typical foreign-made (overpriced) Asian junk. Oftentimes, it reminds me of a glorified Dollarama. A pair of $90 work-boots fell apart in 3 months on me--my own fault. Should've heeded my wife's advice and went next door to Mark's to purchase a decent pair. At least they have a fairly liberal return policy (90 days) provided you keep the receipt(s). However, the store is now under new management since miserable old Peck left. Hopefully, that helps things turn around here. Walmart is usually my last resort for shopping anyway, and every time I leave there, I always ask myself why do I keep returning? It's almost like a magnet that keeps pulling you back to this place, since they know that shopping choices in Chatham-Kent are rather limited as it is. Crappy Tire and Home Depot are getting just as bad for price/service/selection. And forget about the downtown mall. It's a total joke and a complete waste of time and energy. Not even worth finding a parking spot over. Increasingly, I find myself shopping online more and more. Still, I'm willing to give this place another chance to prove itself since the "changing of the guard" took place. Under new management as of March, 2017. What else is there left to say? It's WALMART
Big store. Lots of stuff. Supply chain here is leveraged to bring good pricing to commodity items. Clean store. McDonald's inside. Free Wi-Fi.. efficient tire service.
Service has always been poor, now to make it worse you have to pack your own bags. Would not recommend buying full groceries here. Fresh fruits and veggies go bad within 2 to 3 days no matter how fresh they seem in store. Only giving 2 stars because on the very rare occasion you can find a rare item I. E. Whole walnuts
