Great place, awesome staff, lots of caring, wonderful atmosphere. Keep up the great service and friendly interaction with us at a low time in our lives. Thanks again
Had a procedure scheduled for this past week at 1:15 P.M and was advised to report to admitting one hour ahead (which I did). Eventually was taken into procedure room at 2:30 P.M. The wait time really wasn't the issue, what is important is how the nurses take your personal information. Instead of being assigned an independent examining room, patients are now lined up, side by side, in large armchairs - literally elbow to elbow. The nurse then comes and sits right in front of you (and literally all the others in chairs, waiting for their procedures) and starts asking all the information which is required in order to complete the admittance forms. There is ABSOLUTELY no confidentiality during this time. Where even at a drugstore, when you are dropping off a prescription, you are asked to be respectful of others privacy and stand well back, in order not to infringe on their space - would you not think this would be even more important when having a medical procedure done? If this is the direction our new health care system is taking, I, for one, am not impressed. On a positive note, my nurse, Trina, was absolutely amazing!
The worst hospital experience ever. Waited 8 hours + in urgent care and that's not including waiting for a doctor with my mother. After the first check up with the nurse she advised us a doctor will be on their way 2+ hours no one even bothered to check up on us. Just chatted away with each other. What a joke.
Terrible!!! I had to wait almost 3 hours sitting on cheir even I am a pregnant with vaginal bleeding. I finally came out without seeing a doctor. Fxxk!!
Great staff and facility For the complainers that feel they have an entitlement go to the States its only a couple hours away maybe shorter than your wait time and PAY THE BILL.🤔 Unfortunately people need to be educated on what constitutes an emergency and use our health care facilities in an appropriate way. Frustrating seeing people taking up space with a boo boo, or cough go to the Pharmacy and get a bandaid or cough syrup.
For a Winnipeg hospital, it was refreshing coming here. These smaller places don't hold the big reputation like HSC, or st Boniface, but it wasn't nearly as run down, was really clean, and the staff were excellent! I also didn't feel like I was going to get stabbed or shot in the parking lot
I had wonderful and positive experience. I never need to go to the emergency room. Yesterday I did and the experience was great. So many helpful, considerate and competent people and they were all helping me. I think given the reality of health care it can be a crap shoot as to whether you'll wait or not. I had only a brief wait, five hours of care and I was on my way. Thank you Vic emergency room staff . I'd give you ten stars if I could.
The cancer care department at this hospital is exceptional from the OR staff to my intake at IV and assessment.
Worst hospital experience I've ever had. Had an emergency and waited over 5 hours +
Have been waiting for more than 8 hrs. I'm dying with pain on my lower right abdomen but guess what? Nothin! Fcking hate this place
Best hospital in the city. They may have long wait times on occasion but they manage patient flow well and their times are the best in the city. The staff is always friendly and treats patients with care and dignity. Would highly recommend this place to all.
My daughter was born here and my son was born at the women's, The Victoria hands on a way better hospital, so friendly and profesional , and very caring and loving and clean. The nurses are there to assist you.
Despite one nurse who was so old school, with newborns, my over all experience was excellent, I loved it here, best hospital in the city.wish they were still delivering babies here cuz i would of loved to have both my children here. The women's hospital kicks you out asap, even though u just gave birth. At the Vic they let me stay till I felt comfortable going home. I love this hospital, plus it's pretty.
