Vancouver Transgender Day of Remembrance (society) and it's events recognize that they take place on indigenous land (Musqueam/Tsleil-Waututh/Squamish) and that Vancouver, B.C, and Canada in general are an illegal occupation. We stand in solidarity with indigenous peoples.

This event takes place each November the 20th of each year - internationally.
There usually is more than one event in the lower mainland of British Columbia, Canada. These events vary in degree of spirit and authenticity regarding what this non profit collective does. Acknowledge in a meaningful way the names of our fallen trans community members - which are usually trans women of color and involved in sex work.
