I have never experienced such incredible customer service. Today we had to return several cedars and were aprehensive about how the return would be received, even knowing there was a guarantee. Most places would have tried to twist things and not back up their guaranteenot Michael. He was both professional and helpful. We chatted about what would work better on our property and while he asked an associate to process our refund credit, he simultaneously had a few employees take away the returns while calling for Sarah to come and show us a few replacement options. The customer service was first class. Sarah was both knowledgeable and helpful, finding pricing and providing useful information about the options we are considering. We mentioned how pleased we were before we left, at which point Micheal excitedly and proudly talked about his grandparents' business and how they started decades ago. They certainly have maintained a family business that centres on customer service and the "old fashioned" values of taking care of the customer like they are family. We look forward to many visits this season to our favourite garden centre!

Terrible customer service. Got a quote from an employee for a particulate style of rock we liked. It was all in writing and confirmed by his colleague. We went back to purchase today but they refused to honour the price that was quoted. Michael Van dogen is a disgrace to this place. He was rude. For $30 difference, he not only let customers go, but also was extremely disrespectful. Incompetent staff who didnt know what they were quoting and then refused to accept their mistake. Never coming back and would highly recommend everyone not to choose them.

We just purchased a Pyramidal European Hornbeam tree from Van Dongens todaytheir Customer Service, Tree Knowledge & overall appearance & condition of the site & quality of the plant material is second to none. From the help we received in the yard in selecting a tree to suit our needs to the positive attitude at the the cash checkout to the young man that helped us load the tree in our car & tie it downfirst class! We will be back for all of our plant material & more!

Amazing experience, knowledgeable staff and top quality product - very impressed and I love my new trees! From the office staff, to the garden staff, to the delivery guys, to the installers - we were impressed at every step! These guys know their business and their customer service!

Vandongens has been nothing but a pleasure to work with. From our initial visit to the installation of our trees we were treated with excellent care and appreciation. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied, we would recommend them to anyone looking for a full service experience.

The driver parks on the sidewalk.they all just look at you.not impressed with this company. Im handicap and ride a scooter I don't like to go next to the road I got hit by a car because of people like this.I got pictures of this

We were quoted a certain amount for rock by an employee (in writing) and when we came back today to purchase them the price was not honoured. Michael Van Dongen was not willing to honour previous price. The employee (Brett) who quoted initially did not know the differences in the rocks and incorrectly quoted. All employees should receive appropriate training so they can do their job. For a 30$ difference Michael lost the sale and future business.

The staff here are fabulous!! What a pleasure. Informative, without any of the salsey stuff I hate. Definitely recommend.
