- Recuerdos y Sueños -
Haven’t been posting regularly enough over the past month or so. I’ve been completely absorbed by personal matters, and I am in a process of healing.
In the meantime here is a macro shot of a white Hyacinth. I made a timelapse of it blooming, you should check it out (link in bio).
Also, the second image is a poem I wrote for someone special that is always in my Heart. I pray everyday that the Universe watches over her.
She inspired me to write, so much so that I have enough to make an album out of it. I have about 15 poems / songs and I’m looking to collaborate with local artists to compose / produce the music for them.
I already met with my good friend @sing.with.mi about the project and she introduced me to @tomasoundfactory . We met last week, already started envisioning the different tracks and vibes for some of my texts.
If you are interested in participating in any way, shape, or form, send me a DM and lets see what we can do ;)
With this project, I am opening myself to the world, in hopes that my words can reach out to people, and inspire them in any way.
I’m also currently working on a book. I have about 50 pages down so far, if anybody knows someone in the edition / writing business, let me know 🙏

- Forever Lavender -
So I finally got to visite @maisonlavande last Sunday !! What a magical place !!
I couldnt decide between the warm or cold edits of some shots so I posted both 🙈 which one do you prefer ?
I had always hoped to go there with someone special But since I was alone, I just dove deep into the lavender and shot mostly upclose / macro.
I used mostly my new @tamronusa 35mm VC 1.8 and my good old @nikoncanada Nikkor AI 55mm 2.8 macro mounted on my D7100.

- Sunset over the Sea -
It’s funny how these simple everyday things, like a sunset or a sunrise, can magically become some of your most treasured memories, when shared with someone special
This is indeed, another boring sunset photo to anybody’s eye But to me, it’s one of those most treasured magical moments
It takes me back to a timelessness that can only be felt, when your heart is getting lifted by butterflies ❤️🦋
Then I ask myself
What is a photography but an inanimate slice of Life, a suspended piece of Space&Time? Like a gps coordinate in History A still frame of a captured instant.
Indeed, just after the photo is taken, the moment has already passed.
Then I realize that maybe that is why we feel so nostalgic while looking at photographs It can never really fill the gap left inside us, from what has already passed, after it’s over
But it sure takes you back, and you start reminiscing
Emotions, sensations, and feelings start bubbling up from deep within
It’s easy to get caught up, trapped in these fragments of our lives
Oh well if I’m a photographer, I must admit that it is also because, Nostalgia and Melancholia are to me beautiful and valuable emotions.
Remembering how much you feel / felt about something from the Past, can sometimes reposition your being in the Present, and even help envision a Future
Look to the Horizon then What do you see ?

Got the pleasure and honor to be the official photographer at my friend’s wedding a month ago.
It took place on a beautiful beach at the Saguenay Fjord National Park. All their guests were barefoot in the sand, it was all so dreamy !! @anne.marie.munoz came with me as @annemariemunozphoto :P and she also shot some fantastic photos !! Here captured is the stained glass dome of @galerieslafayette in Paris.
At the beginning of the 20th Century, master glass-maker Jacques Gruber designed this Neo-byzantine stained glass windows.
The dome itself, standing at a height of 141 feet, soon became the iconic symbol of the Galeries Lafayette.
When I stood under it, I became instantly overwhelmed and subjugated by the amount of details, the colors and patterns, the never ending sophistication of the design
Have you ever gone shopping there?
@anne.marie.munoz dragged me there the other day, to spy on the visual displays from all the different brands exhibiting at the Galeries.

- Annecy Lake -
I haven’t been posting as regularly as I would hope to
I’ve been traveling all across France over the past 20 days.
But I had to take a moment and edit a few shots of this heavenly looking lake in Annecy.
The colors of the water were absolutely mesmerizing 😍
@anne.marie.munoz and I couldn’t help but take a jump in the warm waters of the lake.
As you can probably tell, this place is surrounded by gigantic mountains that are part of the French Alps.
I really fell in love with the place and would be happy to actually live there one day 🙊 haha

Haven’t posted in over a couple of weeks 🙈took some well deserved / needed vacations away from North America and back to Europe.

- Confessions of a Bride’s Maid -

I had the honor of being their official wedding photographer.

This was one of my first long expo shots ever in Montreal, 6 years ago already.
This is the view I had from my studio appartement from @uqam ‘s eastern campus residences.
Just a semester after arriving here in @montreal .
It has now been over 6 years like I mentioned, and I am proud to say that after obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from UQAM, and then a Master’s degree from @umontreal , I finally was able to obtain a status of permanent resident of @canada .
I’ve come a very long way since I shot that photo over six years ago I even became a licensed skydiver haha !! (All thanks to the fantastic crew of @parachutemontreal )
Its incredible how fast time flashes by, and so does our life 🙀
We’d better make sure that everyday we find time for ourselves, that everyday we find the strength to still find beauty and hapiness in the little things that are unique to each instant we experience.
I want to be more grateful and less fearful ; more accepting, more patient and kind.

Good Evening everyone :)
So I finally got to go rooftopping with @raph337 a couple of weeks ago.
It was quite cool to hang out on the roof and shoot from sunset till night from such a high up perspective.

Mesmerizing colored cloud rolling over the mountain captured at sunset over Mt Brome, here in the Quebec province of Canada.
Ended up there with @anne.marie.munoz when coming back from our roadtrip to Mt Orford and Lake Magog.

- The 17th Century Cross of Les Escoumins -
This cross is located in Les Escoumins, a town of less than 2000 inhabitants, located in northern Canada.
The cross was found by a missionary on April 21st 1664 (as attests the plate on the third picture).
I was just passing through the area, during my roadtrip around Tadoussac and lac St Jean last fall, with the one and only @anne.marie.munoz .
That was the furthest Anne Marie and I had ever travelled on Earth 🙊

- Father & Son -
Lucas has been a dear friend of mine for a few years now. I consider him to be my brother, we are from the same family, the same tribe, the same clan.
We lived together in the forest, I often visited him there, helping out on ecotourism projects, building wigwams, and just enjoying the simple life.
We were lost in the Wilderness, but we were found within ourselves.
News articles have been written about him and his lifestyle, he even participated in a survivalist TV show haha.
He now has a beautiful son with @mailamumuksha and together they have created a beautiful family. Soon they will acquire a large land up North and will be able to live from it.
