Came here with a few of our friends for my Husbands Birthday. We were pre-warned about the quality/quantity of food & bang for your buck, but my Husband LOVES fondue-ing, so I thought we should check it out 1st hand. Can't say that we'll be back. VERY expensive meal, wasn't stuffed full when we left, actually debated with the kids to whether we stopped at DQ on 8th Street on our way home. Portions were ridiculous for $50/person, NO kids menu & they actually suggested that we order the adults portion & they shareummmm$25/kid??? No thanks. Bill total was north of $400 for 5 adultskids shared with the 2 of us. Dark and outdated decor, server was niceI don't think he told us his name howevermaybe it's slipped my mindsorry for that
Very unique atmosphere, dimly lit with private booths. We had nice view of the street below. Good was delicious and service was exellent.
Went yesterday for supper. Dingy grungy place. Didn't get a drink to start. She rushed us through with no explanation of the menu. There was barely enough cheese fondue for the bread cubes. No explanation of the meat we were served. Dipping sauces were all in the same little dishesso 4 of us had to share them. Kinda gross. Overpriced. Went to McDonald's after. Won't be back.
Quite and cozy. I loved their piña colada.
Good food and polite staff, but the service was terrible. Took half an hour after being seated to even get water. Long waits between courses, with plenty of open tables the service should have been more frequent
This was my first time at Ufondue. We made reservations for right when it opened. Our waiter was exceptionally polite, friendly, and patient the entire night. He helped us navigate the menu choices and even allowed us to customize our dessert fondue (because we weren't dark chocolate fans). The atmosphere was cozy and intimate. I absolutely loved it. The cheese fondue was to die for (we got the bacon cheddar due to our waiters recommendation). My only complaint is that we ran out of cheese wayyyyyy before we even came close to finishing the items to dip in it. We were never brought more. I assumed for the hefty price tag, you'd be given more. Other reviewers also said that the air in the restaurant can become very Smokey due to people preparing food on the table tops. This is true. It became very overwhelming as the night went on and the tables began to fill up with diners cooking their meals. I looked around and there didn't seem to be much ventilation. Besides that, I loved the experience, the food was good, the atmosphere was seductive, and the staff were awesome! I would recommend this to anyone who can afford the splurge.
Attempted to make a reservation online and got no confirmation. Left multiple voicemails and received no call back. Even if they were unable to take my reservation a courtesy call would have been appreciated and would try another time. Now I'm not so sure.
Myself and my boyfriend have come here multiple times over the past couple of years. The food is always so good and leaves us full.
We tried the hot rock, and also the fryer for our fondue experience. We have celebrated Birthdays and anniversaries here.
The staff are friendly and inviting and are very knowledgeable.
I did not like the service at all. The servers didn't quite take care of my dietary restrictions of being a vegan, and it took them hours to prepare food. The servers didn't really seem to understand which food is vegetarian and not, which made me feel very unsatisfied. Also, the place really needs better exhaust facilities. It has been two days since I went there, and my eyes are still hurting from all the smoke in my eyes.
Overall, I wouldn't go there again. It is too pricey for the service and the food they provide.
