Description

The Townhouse Pub is a proper "local," a community supported restaurant, and a place to enjoy the renaissance of craft brewing and local food.

HOURS:
Tuesday/Sunday 4-10:30
Wednesday - Saturday 4-11:30

We have our own cask conditioned, hand-pumped, British style bitter ale on tap, plus 8 excellent Maritime microbrewed beers on tap–selections from Cape Breton's Big Spruce Brewery, Pictou's Uncle Leo's, Halifax's Granite Brewery, Propeller, & Garrison, and Boxing Rock from Shelburne, and many others making appearances on the rotating Guest Tap. Plus we feature excellent NS spirits and wine!

The Townhouse kitchen focuses on old-world and globally inspired rustic pub & taverna fare. We make almost everything we serve from scratch–pickles, chutneys, breads, desserts, patés, etc.– using the best natural ingredients. We are proud to work with excellent local suppliers:

- Knoydart Farm for organic cheese, Antigonish Co.
- Cabot Oysters from Havre Boucher, Antigonish Co.
- free range chicken from Crossroads Valley Farm, Antigonish Co.
- Antigonish, Guysborough & Pictou Co. beef & lamb from Vacheresse’s,
- The Pork Shop’s smoked sausages & bacon, Pictou Co.
- Ship Harbour mussels, Digby scallops, wild caught & in-land farmed fish from NS and Atlantic Canada
- & whenever possible we feature local produce sourced from small local producers like Seabright Market Gardens, Casey Vandesande, MacLennan’s Glen, Bethany New Growers, Quinn Farms, & Pura Vida Mushrooms.

Our food takes a little more work and time to prepare, but we feel it’s worth it and hope you do too. Cheers!
