I travel for work and I've stayed in many hotels and I will stay in many more but I won't be staying in Shellbook motel ever again. There are certain codes that hotels generally follow, like being nice to guests, that are just ignored at Shellbrook motel.

1. No weekly rate, it costs over $800 to stay for the week for a basic room with no kitchenette.
2. There are way more rules at this motel, "Check out is at 11, if you check out at 11:05 you will be charged a $25 late fee". " If you get the floors dirty, you will be charged $150 to get them cleaned" " Sheets are only cleaned once every 5 days".
3. we left a $150 deposit but after a couple days the lady at the front desk asked us to get $150 cash instead, I'm not sure why but at this motel everyday there was something everyday that involved us doing something to appease the front desk
4. Halfway through our stay we were asked to move to a smoking room, instead of apologizing for this mix up, we were told to move all our things, by ourselves, between 9 and 930. I worked till 2 am, I had to get up early, pack and move, with no dollies or help from staff.
5. Rooms with out windows, shouldn't be smoked in. The smell was disgusting.
6. The TV didn't work and the plug in the tub didn't work
7. Did a walk through while we were still in the room, before we were allowed to check out.
8. We were charged $7.50 because they had problems with plumbing. Its not much money but it was still not our responsibility.
