None of the food is really that great, the baking is pretty bland, they don't even use real butter in their baking. We had a bad experience in the restaurant with food allergies, we double and triple checked with them, my wife was home sick later that night.
It's been a family tradition to go to the Berry Barn. It never disappoints and is worth the drive. Love the flowers in summer too. Just gorgeous! Oh and the waffle topping bar - YUM!! One of everything for me :)
Beautiful location at the end of a pleasant drive. Lots of parking. Attentive staff. Fish was greasy and over fried but good french fries.
Go for lunch, supper or just dessert! It's all down home goodness. Sitting on the deck looking out at the river is perfect when you're eating your Saskatoon pie
Amazing food. Great portions. Bit of a drive, but definitely worth it. On the higher side for prices,
but great serving size. Souvenirs of all kinds available. Saskatoon berry milkshakes!! Need I say more!
The BEST mushroom soup bread bowl ever! I'm not even a big fan of soup but I tryed this once when my wife got it and now I can bring myself to order anything but it when I go! They have a bakery that has amazing bread and deserts. They are very up to date with their social media aswell really like that they arnt in the dark ages like alot of restaurants.
Good food, great service, and an awesome view
Great food. Awesome views along the river.
We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful landscape, the environment is so peaceful and relaxing. Our meal was served in a timely manner and our waiter was courteous and accommodating. The food was good and we enjoyed browsing in the gift shop. I was visiting from Quebec and would recommend it if you haven't had the pleasure!
The food is pretty decent and very much like Denny's or someplace similar; however with the building and location it's a touristy and interesting experience overall. There is a nice outside space along the river for walking and the grounds are decently maintained. It's a little bit cramped inside around the tables but this doesn't necessarily take away from the experience. Probably a very nice place to go with a group of adults or older children- a little tougher with young ones. The staff is generally accommodating.
There is however a major problem with parking- I have been to the Berry Barn 5 times now and each time parking has been a huge hassle. A couple of times now I have been directed to overflow parking along the front road/trail by the highway. This time the bushes were once again not trimmed and a combination of vehicles following close behind and not enough room between the parked vehicles and bushes has resulted in my vehicle antenna snapping off after catching on a branch and a significant amount of scratching on the exterior. Please please Berry Barn at least cut back your bushes enough that the overflow doesn't damage vehicles. It is not okay. For anyone reading this if the main parking lot is full and you care about your vehicle at all just turn around and go home.
