I needed a last minute Christmas gift for my father this year (we all know dad's are the hardest to buy for 🙃) and I always try to buy local for him, Sussex Beard Oil came to mind as he has grown his beard out this year for the first time since I was a teenager.

To my dismay everywhere in town was sold out (of course with only 2 days left until Christmas!) and I was beginning to think I would be SOL. As a last resort I messaged the Facebook page and I was extremely excited to be offered a kit delivered directly to my door that very day!

Luther was an absolute pleasure to deal with and ultimately saved Christmas for my dad, as he was very close to getting ANOTHER "#1 Dad" mug this year. I can't wait until he opens his kit Christmas morning and to hear about how much he loves the products! A million thanks to Sussex Beard Oil!

I ordered the "Original Beard Care System" a few months ago. The beard oil and balm had a very nice, woody scent, and the Beard and Beyond soap made a rich lather with very little soap needing to be used. My beard was noticeably softer within just a few days of use, using a routine of:

1.) Wash beard with Beard and Beyond soap while showering
2.) Apply a few drops of beard oil through a towel-dried beard
3.) Use a beard straightener at 400F
4.) Apply a small amount of beard balm, leaving it in my beard after application

I was so happy with the products, that I came back to try their line of "ginger" products. I ordered the "Ginger Beard Care System", and unfortunately, they sent me the "Original" system by accident.

Fortunately for me, after contacting Sussex Beard Oil Merchants, about the mix-up, a man named Luther replied to my email in, I kid you not, 3 minutes. They told me they were sorry, and they were sending out the "Ginger Beard Care System" that same day, with no need to return the incorrect item I'd received. I offered to pay for the replacement item, to which Luther declined, saying they simply appreciated my patronage.

Rarely do you get the 1-2 combo of a quality product combined with fantastic customer service, but that is exactly what I've gotten from Sussex Beard Oil. I would have recommended it based on the products alone, but I can't recommend them enough when that is combined with the service I received.

I've tried dozens and dozens of oils for my facial hair. Finding a product that doesn't feel or smell like a mix of cheap chemicals is surprisingly hard. Everything you find at the big box stores has this quality, or rather lack there of. I tried Sussex Beard Oil products quite a few years ago and since then haven't found a product that delivered such a quality product as them. The product feels quality and made with care with real ingredients you can pronounce on the label, and the biggest for me is the extremely unique scent. It's both subtle and punchy with wonderful woodsy notes and subtle greenery. Absolutely love it and will continue to buy their products. Highly recommended.
