I can not say enough good things about Stedman Hospice. The doctors ,nurses, p.s.w's volunteers and staff were all very kind , compassionate , and caring to me and my family when my husband was dying. By far they are the best hospice facility in the country. We are so lucky to have them in our community. I honestly don't know what l would have done without their help. A big two thumbs up for Stedman Hospice in Brantford. ��

Stedman was an amazing place for my Grandmother to spend her final weeks. The staff and volunteers were so kind and accommodating. Absolutely loved that my children were able to come and spend some quality time with their Great Gran in a setting where they also felt very comfortable. I know my entire family will forever be grateful for Stedman.

Brantford is so fortunate to have such a beautiful and peaceful Hospice House overlooking a healing garden. The compassionate and caring staff, along with all the volunteers provide such wonderful support and gentle guidance for families. Having a loved one receive the best possible care at end of life provided our family with comfort during a very difficult time. Forever grateful!

Well my mother in law was in the Hankinson part of the hospice and everyone that works there or volunteers there are the best. The hospitality that they gave my mother in law and made her feel right at home and kept her very comfortable . In the last few days of her beautiful life they had taken her out of her room and took her down to the sitting room and he eyes lit up so bright cause she got to see the biggest and beautiful Christmas tree ever. Christmas is her favorite holiday of the year. The ladies took care of Sarah Ruth Horney as family to them and was at her beck and call and she didn't have to wait when she pushed her button . Sarah Ruth Horney was a beautiful person inside and out and had a huge heart even when she was in alot of pain . May she rest in peace and in no more pain. Going to miss her. She will always be with us in our hearts and we just have to look at my youngest daughter because she is a splitting image of her grandmother . Thank you again for everything you did for Sarah Ruth Horney and her family and friends .

My 11 year old son Donovan spent his last week of life at stedman hospice in June 2014. I couldn't have asked for a more peaceful end to his life here with us. Everything about the hospice was amazing, the staff, the volunteers even just the way it felt like home. I know my baby was at peace when he left this earth and I'm glad I was given the opportunity to give him that dignity and peace in the end.

My wife Ruth passed away at Stedman Community Hospice after a stay from the end of January to nearly the end of July. She really appreciated the help and support from the doctors, counsellors, nurses, PSWs and volunteers. She thought of them as friends and even family. They made her feel at ease and at home. The support given Ruth and me was very good and it continues to this day for me. This is a great place to spend one's last days.

My mom passed away Oct. 19, 2016. And she went with dignity. All the staff were very warm and thoughtful of all our needs. We as a family got to enjoy one last meal altogether with our mom in the big dining area, which was special to all of us. And after she passed the staff let us stay with her as long as we needed before we said our final goodbyes. It is a beautiful place to stay at the very end of life and I know my mom enjoyed it better than to be in a cold ugly hospital room. I would like to thank the staff very much for their warm kindness to all of us at the end of my mothers life. I appreciate them very much.

The Hospice is one of the most beautiful and tranquil places you will find on the planet. The focus is on living, not dying, and the families who have had a loved one die at Stedman Community Hospice are among the most grateful people you will meet. I am honoured to help raise money for this organization so that no family ever receives a bill for the services they were given. My only regret, is that my own Mom didn't have the luxury of dying at a Hospice where we could have all surrounded her with love and warmth . together.

It is coming up to a year when my son-in-law Mike came to spend his final days. We arrived on Christmas Eve. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. That night they allowed Trisha to bring Michael age 7 and John age 5 to come spend the night with daddy. In the morning when they woke Santa had left their presents there for them to open. Daddy was brought out to share his final Christmas with his boys. Later that day your lovely volunteers made us a Christmas dinner with all the fixins. I thought the dinner was for everyone there only to find later it was just for out family. Our year of firsts is almost over but the final stretch will be the most difficult for us all. We will never forget you and constantly praise your hospice to any one who will listen.

My faith in humanity as alive and well. My father recently spent his final days there and I was blown away by the care and compassion of all who were involved. The volunteers are above reproach. They not look after the admitted, they also take very good care of all who there. My heart goes out to all of them.

I cant even begin to express to you what this place did for my family! Dad is gone 1 1/2 yr now and now we battle with mom stage 4 lung cancer. You people that take the time and strength to lend an ear are remarkable! Nothing anyone can ever repay!
