  Best hair salon experience I've ever had. Nicole cut my hair about a week ago and she dyed my hair today and she nails it every single time. It's so amazing she just knows what I want and puts her own flair on it which turns out even better. She also makes an amazing cappuccino. Nicole is officially my hair stylist in Toronto.

  Ernesto and Dino worked their magic yesterday to transform my look from drab and old to polished and youthful. I was absolutely thrilled with the result, which showed beautifully in the portrait I had done after the appointment. This was my first experience with Salon Solis, but I am now a convert and definitely will be returning! Ernesto and Dino are both artists who apply the highest level of skill and care to their work.

  I have gone to this salon a couple times for an ombre, and I have absolutely loved the result every single time. Nicole does my hair and at this point, I just trust her to do whatever she thinks is best. :) She definitely knows what she is doing, and is very talented. She has also stayed after close in order to finish my massive amount of hair with no complaint. The atmosphere of the salon is so welcoming and friendly whenever you walk in, with an instant acknowledgement and an offer of drinks. Absolutely love it!

  Ernesto and Dino have been my go to guys for a few years. They have styled me for day to day wear, special events, up do's and my wedding. I never leave there without an awesome hair do and feeling great. It is rare to find not one but two hairdressers that are so professional and as talented as these guys! They are the dream team! I look forward to my appointments and I am always extremely happy with the end results. Ernesto's cuts grow out so well, are easy to handle and style on my own, my hair looks great for months after the cut. I have highlights and color too, Dino mixes up a little bit of magic each time. Color is vibrant, natural looking and my hair always looks so healthy and feels so silky. They are always on time with your appointment, and once you are in their chair you have their undivided attention. I could not be happier with them in every respect and keep on going back every 6-8 weeks (for color) without skipping a beat. They serve pretty delicious cappuccinos too!

  I've been modelling with Elmer Olsen Model Management for over 15years...Dino and Ernesto have been loyally taking care of me for about that long. They're professional, down to earth and incredibly talented artists. I'm lucky to have a team that's there for me when I need them especially when I book a job and I need a last minute root touch up, they make time for me. They'll always do their best to accommodate your needs. In an industry where your hair matters, I feel confident that when I'm in their chairs, I'm walking out happy and so are my clients. The best part about them is how warm they are. No arrogance or attitude. I highly recommend Salon Solis. They're reputation speaks volume. Thank you Dino and Ernesto for being the best!

  I was really excited to try this place out when I saw all the positive reviews online and when I went in I wasn't disappointed. Staff are very friendly soon as I walked in I was acknowledged right away, asked if there was anything I would like to drink.
  
  The stylist that helped me was Kayla and she was great. She started examining my hair as I told her a little bit about it and how I style it. Showed a few photos of what I wanted, she listened offered her viewpoints and started getting to work. To be honest I've only ever been getting my haircut at the same place for years at China town for 12 bucks. So for me the price jump was pretty big but honestly it was completely worth it if not a great value for the cut I got. The time she spent on my sides and back to get it exactly right was longer than how long it would usually take for my whole haircut. Great attention to detail constantly checking with me if this looked okay or if she can do this. After a while I just let her do her thing and I'm glad I did.
  
  Really happy with my haircut, Kayla gave me a few tips on how to style my hair, blow dry my hair properly and brush it back etc. Would recommend Kayla and the salon to anyone looking for an amazing haircut. Really glad I came definitely coming back.

  I had an appointment last Saturday with Karen to colour my hair and I was so lucky! I'm writing this review because I love the balayage she did. She pays attention to detail and relays so much honesty/guidance in her appointments. I went in having never dyed my hair and extremely nervous. I researched enough to know the things I should expect in an appointment, but her professionalism and results left my speechless. Now I feel like the happiest girl in the world. I left there a whole new person. I HIGHLY recommend her. Karen's the best!!

  I had my first Solis experience this past Tuesday. I had made an appointment day of for Kayla and was easily put in for later that day. As soon as I got there I was offered a water, cappuccino, latte, etc.
  
  I then met Kayla and she was very sweet. She asked me what my goal was with my hair and what was the style I wanted to achieve. I told her that I wanted just healthy hair while still keeping my long length, and gave her some creative freedom. I had come in with what she described as thin, dry hair with breakage, and she gave me some great tips to revive it.
  
  She explained to me her technique for the actual cut, which made my hair even and allowed it to have a "flow" so that I can wear it unstyled. She actually got rid of a lot of damage and dryness, my exact request. Most salons just style your hair without actually cutting it properly (uneven, choppy, etc.) in order to conceal their poor cuts. Kayla listened and showed her knowledge of hair in order to get mine into a place I am finally happy with.
  
  I believe I have found my new salon! Friendly, knowledgeable, and not expensive at all for the expertise. I will be visiting Kayla again!
  
  P.S For people driving: it was a bit of a tough spot to get to, considering it was downtown. Parking was quite full, so I will take the subway next time :)

  While I usually see another stylist at Solis who was unavailable, I am so happy that I got paired with Leena for an extremely challenging colour correction. I had been dying my hair black for 12 years and Leena came up with a plan to reduce the amount of damage while also delivering effective results. My hair doesn't feel or look damaged like I assumed it would and I'm actually very surprised and happy with the end result. Going from an intense black dye to a mid brown in one session. I'm so grateful to have been set up with Leena - I love the results! I'll definitely be booking in the near future for a follow up. I really trust her to deliver the best care and her level of professionalism and warmth is unmatched.
