My boss and I were in the Black Diamond area for business so stopped by for lunch at the Bistro. It was past lunch time and very busy. There are not too many tables so we came at a good time as we were seated right away. The food didn't take too long and I had a beef dip which was okay but unremarkable. The dip was just like a thin au juice, not like a gravy and the meat was just blah and needed some seasoning. The bun was good for a beef dip and the fries tasted homemade but they we're greasy and Limp with no crispyness to them so overall it was not too bad but nothing to write home about. It seems like they specialize in poutine which I do not like at all so maybe this place was not meant for me.

The food at Soft Rock is as amazing as the staff. Awesome fries, beef dips, smoke meat sandwich, and the ribs are my favorite. Complete with a great atmosphere and staff it's a must go to spot in the Diamond Valley!

I had the tourtière - I'm not sure how they are suppose to taste but it seemed to have no seasoning and was super plain. I added the gravy to it which helped a bit but it was also lacking seasoning. The fries were great however! And my Caesar salad was as expected for a small town cafe :)
