Came here tonight for the first time and everything was dry and cold on my plate and my boyfriends. Manager came to table and seemed offended that we mentioned it. Sorry bud, too bad. I know a good steak when i eat one.. our server was lovely tho!

Quiet and private place to eat delicious food. This is a great place to come on a date. I don’t think I have ever been to a restaurant that so eloquently describes what makes thier food different. They are an Alberta company that uses only the highest quality Alberta beef.

The service was fantastic here. Food was good, a bit pricey though. Very cozy atmosphere. The steak was on point. I think a bit more variety on the dessert menu would be nice, but it was delicious.

The whole 2 stars goes to the kitchen staff for some truly amazing food. Unfortunately, all else was terrible - we were seated and not given menus and then it took quite a bit if time to have our orders taken. Then my colleague only received half if her app + half of her main dish - the other half if the main dish was missed and so was her dessert. We received the bill for her full 3 course meal and asked the waitress to edit based on ehat we received and she didn't even realize that we didn't get what we ordered, she just removed the extra items. At this pretty classy restaurant, is expect much more in the way of service.

The food and drink I had was excellent. Initially the service was a little slow but they became quite responsive once they got to taking my order. A little more pricey but a fine dining experience with help that is very easy on they eyes. I would describe this as the Keg kind of food with almost a Hooters approach with the waitresses.

First time here and I must say next time I want a nice steak in a sporty yet relaxing atmosphere I'll be comming back. Tons of food for the price and good drink selection. Our server was Ceara and she was spot on. Didn't wait long for food or drinks at all. Haven't tried much of the menu but first impression is great!

We went for a spontaneous anniversary dinner with our 5 (yes FIVE!) kids last night. The hostess seemed a bit surprised (and snobby) that we would show up with no reservation at dinner time, but we figured it was Monday night so whats the big deal. The manager was standing right there and he stepped in with reassurance that it would only take about 5 minutes to get a table together and we could just wait, pheewww, thanks! The table was great, the atmosphere was quiet and lovely. Our server treated each of our children with respect calling them "miss" and "sir". Our kids are just normal kids, we don't go crazy drilling them on table manners, they are ages 11, 9, 6,3,and 1. I honestly believe that because the atmosphere was so nice and because the server treated us so well that the kids just acted better because they knew it was worth it. I used to be a server and I seriously couldn't stand serving kids, they are so messy, their parents are so annoying, and I know I just wasn't patient, I just didn't have a clue. Now that I'm a parent I have so much respect for people like our server last night, he was so patient and kind. If he was annoyed he sure didn't show it, he was very professional. The food was good, but it was the server that really blew us away.

They try to be this classy steakhouse restaurant but its really just sub-par. The drinks were badly made and our waitress took forever to come back and take our orders. Food wise everything else but the prime rib is good which is weird because the prime rib is supposed to be their number one item. I had baked brie as an appetizer and it came out still solid in the middle instead of being delicious soft. I've been there twice and both times its been disappointing .

Food, amazing. Service, amazing. I and my family sat down for an amazing evening filled with great food and we were not disappointed in the least, my steak was cooked to perfection exactly as I'd ordered it and the ribs were tender and flavorful.
If you have some spare time and a little extra spending money I would highly recommend you try it out

A great first time with family. Terrence was wonderful and classy. Very professional. Appetizers were 5 minutes from order to table. The prime-rib was well priced, fast and properly prepared. We were impressed. Excellent!

Went for dinner with a party of 8. It took over 2.5 hrs for dinner. I appreciate it was New Years day. But if I was the Manager I would be embarrassed. No one was offered drinks as the party arrived. We were given menus than left.

Our drink orders were taken with our food order. Not even water was offered at this point. It just went down hill from there including not being told if an allergy was accommodated or not. We had to ask for refills on water & Pop. I was never offered a second highball.

The vegtables as the side were cold, unseasoned & just generally unpalatable.

We definitely won't be back

We have been to the Sawmill twice and it is our favourite restaurant. The ambience is quiet and intimate, the food is beyond amazing, and the service is perfect. When you decide to go out for supper and spend a little more on something spectacular, the Sawmill is the place to go. We live 2 hours outside of Gp but we gladly travel that far to have an amazing dining experience. It does not disappoint!
