Description

We are a non-profit organisation that aims to provide low-income individuals, people with disabilities, schools, and libraries with FREE recycled computers to fit their current needs.

Our goal: To recycle old, unwanted or non-functioning laptops/desktops and provide low income individuals and families with the tools they need to improve their current situation, especially when they are looking for employment or school work. Every single computer donated helps someone in need!

The backbone of the RUTB program is the corporate and personal donations of used working computers and parts. The program relies on donations of desktop computers, laptops and accessories to provide free computers to low income individuals.

Basic Procedure to Donated Computers:

* We take the donated computers and wipe all data from the hard drive. This is done using a method called “Disk Wiping or Disk Scrubbing” where it securely destroys all the data by passing and overwriting the entire hard drive several times.
* Next we determine then install an operating system with basic programs and utilities that will allow the user to use the internet, write resumes, make presentations and work on spreadsheets.

All donations can be scheduled for pick-up or drop-off. Whichever bests suits your time schedule.

If you would like to make a donation please contact by e-mail at:
ReUseTechBrockville@yahoo.com

Or by call/text at: (613) 803-0672

**All donations are accepted, doesn't matter the size or amount, working operating system or not working. We only ask that the computer you donate at least powers-on, as we do not refurbish or fix hardware in them, we just simply reinstall operating systems to recycle them to be used again**
