As a new immigrant to Canada, our family opened our bank accounts at RBC. During the credit card application process misinformation was provided to us resulting in us losing 4 months of credit history. This has impacted our ability to obtain a mortgage. As a new immigrant to Canada I would strongly advise against banking with RBC as they provide you with misinformation and then make no effort to correct their mistakes.

Any problems I have had I've brought up with the branch and they have been resolved. I have had my account with them since I was 15 years old and don't regret doing so.
