We walked this park on several days just to enjoy the natural beauty. There are some spots with a river view. Today we visited the park museum, it's worth spending an hour or two there to learn about the history. This is a beautiful open space for walking, cycling, or picnicking. The flowers are worth the walk.

Love this place! You can park for an hour for free along the inside roads and enjoy the gardens, the trails, the military features or take a trip down the stairs. You will need plenty of water!

If you are in Quebec City this is a top attraction to visit as many are probably already aware. Put on your comfy walking shoes and go exploring! Free parking is located at the top as many aren't aware and pay for parking at the bottom of the hill.

Let me start by saying, I did not visit any of the museums here but I'm sure they're great as everything seems well preserved. We just walked around the Plains. You can lose track of time here, which makes it a great place to go for a nice long walk and take in the beautiful views. The views are spectacular from many different spots so put on a comfy pair of shoes and start walking.

One of the finest places in Canada to take the whole extended family. Or just a couple of lovers. History, gardens, open space. Beauty all around. Recommended.

A beautiful view of "new" Quebec from atop a hill but most of the park is currently (late Sep 2017) fenced off due to renovation of the grounds.

Most of the area is a giant, well-maintained grass field, but it's clean and has a nice walking path. The highlights are really the well-arranged flowers in the Joan of Arc garden and along the north side of the plains.

Very beautiful, large park with sprawling grounds and a huge amount of history. Allow lots of time to enjoy it. It would be a great place to spend a sunny afternoon sitting in the shade on a blanket.

Excellent family choice for Canada day celebrations. Canada 150 had tons of activities including obstacle courses for kids, museum entry, concerts and cake etc. All of the above at zero cost.

Quebec City is a European city located in Canada. Great views of the city and the St Lawrence from the top. Nice relaxing spot.

Very nice historical park in the city, lots to do and see, Martello's towers to the fortifications of the citadelle of Quebec. The view on the city or the St. Lawrence river is amazing.

This is a very large outdoor area, somehow preserved within a busy city. Lots of walkways through the area, huge amount of greenspace to explore and take in the views. You can take the usual tourist path around to the area, or take an adventure up the almost 400 stairs up the cap-blanc stairway to the plains. Walk along the river, see the old houses, then make your way through side streets and to the bottom of the stairs to start the climb. It will seem like you're walking aimlessly to nowhere, but then you will see a steady stream of people at all hours of the day walking and running the stairs. There's a nice garden in the plains, and the area is surrounded by all kinds of hotels, restaurants and coffee shops to take a break in.
