Closed!!! New place is AMAZING!!!! Devlins Advocate is an really welcome addition to the square!!
Service was slow. The menu was ok. I got the stir fry and found the portion size very small for the price. Tasted good though.
I really appreciated how kind the staff was, but my wait time of 50 minutes after only ordering a vegitable stirfry an the manager misunderstood my order instead of sweet thai I got teriyaki This was also the first time I recieved lettuce in my stirfry
Went after dinner for drinks, live music was nice but loud. Service was pretty good.
Service is OK. Beer selection is OK. Food is better than most options around the area.
Good and Bad! The good, lamb burger used to be great, it was a weekly thing, the spinach dip was out of this world and the pizza was the best in town. They had this sandwich which was to die for, you couldn't find anything like it in any restaurant, it was called the Piston Club, oh man was it good and a popular seller. So the smart thing the owners did was take it off the menu. Everything is very reasonably priced and great portions and you get you monies worth, free pop refills, it really was great! You will notice I used the word "was". It has gone down hill the past couple years and its picking up speed. The high turn over in staff is reflected on the owners. I was in there in November and the spinach dip was still good the lamb burger was okay, not like it used to be. You can tell that the quality has gone down and the care has been lost. The fries are still great and the gravy is excellent. The staff are trying their best. Don't go in after 9 pm cause the downtown drunks go in and fights and police are called.
Okay, went back on January 10 for dinner and it was busy because there was a show on across the street at the Sanderson Centre. I knew that when there is a show on they are very busy, now if I know that you would think the person who makes up the work schedule there would also know this. We were seated right away and she took our order for drinks, ice tea and we did get them, worst ice tea I have ever had*. 15 minutes later. Then another 10 minutes for her to take our order. That's fine we weren't in a hurry. We started with the spinach dip which has always been so good. It took awhile for it to get to our table and when it did show up the cheese was burnt on top and the nacho chips and pretzel bread was drastically reduced in numbers. Cutting back on portions size, WOW. Well okay the taste always makes up for the portion size..nope, they have changed it and it taste awful. At that point we realized for an $11 appetizer times 2 and it was horrible we weren't going to order anything else, the service was horrible. That put the nail in the coffin for us, never again, there are better places to go.
I am a regular at lunch time as I work downtown. I like the food very much, well presented, generous portions and very tasty. Prices seem good value. I have gone in the odd evening especially when they have live music which has never disappointed either. Will continue to go and I know it will always be one of may favorites in the area.
