We went during the Open Door event and where able to go inside and climb up to the viewing walk. It was quite cool. Unfortunately the huge subdivision to the east is not very picturesque. The sewage treatment plant on the other side of the river to the west is undergoing a very large expansion as well.

The tower is attractive, but the setting is bland.

It's a cool landmark though a bit confusing. Had to check online to find that it's a memorial and not some sort of watch tower.

Lovely place to visit and see a small part of Waterloo Region history which began in 1800 with the arrival of a few Mennonite families from Pennsylvania. Playground at Kuntz Park for younger children, Walter Bean Grand River Trail and a remarkable view of the Grand River for everyone. 300 Lookout Lane, Kitchener, Ontario N2P 2X8.

There is a nice open area a play structure. The tower was padlocked when I visited, so I was unable to go to the top.

Nice place to picnic, park for the kiddies and a trail to stroll.

Beautiful tower, not much else to see but good for I quick visit. Door was locked so no one could climb up.
