  Office Hours for Upcoming Civic Holiday Monday August 6

  Please be advised our offices will be closed Monday August 6 for the Civic Holiday. We will be open for business as usual Tuesday August 7.

  Our Training & Staff Development Department will be working on Monday August 6 so all training courses will still be offered - training courses for Paragon Employees and the 40 hour Basic Security Training courses to obtain the Ontario Security License will run on the normal training schedule.

  Paragon is proud to acknowledge and celebrate two Heroes; Cleve Evans and Roman Trynoga. Their quick thinking and action may likely have saved an elderly man's life.

  Antonio Carvalho an 80 year old man with a mental health issue had been reported missing by his family with a Toronto Police “Public Alert” out on for him as a “missing person”. At the time he had been missing for 18 hours. Not only did our Heroes realize Mr. Carvalho was disoriented, confused and lost when they saw him at their location they also connected the missing persons alert to Mr. Carvalho and acted quickly to notify TPS and advise them of his whereabouts.

  Their quick actions allowed Mr. Carvalho to be reunited with his family safe and sound. We applaud their efforts and thank them for their great work.

  Photo from First Gulf - 351 King St East of the Security detail of Paragon Security Professionals assigned to provide support to the RCMP/GRC Protective Services for the Prime Minister of Canada; Justin Trudeau and other government officials and dignitaries performed their assigned duties flawlessly.

  Several members of the security detail were thanked personally by the Prime Minister on both arriving and departing from a speaking engagement at the Globe and Mail - Conference Center.

  Paragon Security would like to recognize Rondon De Freitas from Atrium on Bay for his quick actions in assisting Toronto Police with an arrest on site recently. Excellent work Rondon!

  This is an excerpt from an e-mail we received from a member of the Toronto Police Service:

  'On 2018.05.11 at approximately 2155 hrs I was performing a paid duty as a member of the Toronto Police Service at 595 Bay St in Toronto. At this time a male attempted to steal a bottle of liquor which he... concealed on his person, subsequent to attempt arrest a violent struggle ensued. During this struggle, I was having a very difficult time controlling the accused as he was large in stature and I had injured myself the male to the ground. I could not gain control of the male , but was quickly aided by officer Defreitas. Without any hesitation your officer aided me in gaining control and eventually arresting the male. Without the assistance of officer Defeitias I don’t think I would have been able to execute the arrest.

  Officer Defreitas should be commended for his quick decision making and actions.'
