🌱 Osheaga fans! This year, the festival team took steps to re-qualify for the classification 2 of 5 by meeting the requirements of BNQ 9700-253 ➡️ Sustainable Development ➡️ Responsible Event Management to minimize negative impacts to the environment.
In addition, the goal of waste per person was set at 160 grams & thanks to the efforts of all, we managed to reach 95.85 grams. This corresponds to 12.94 tons of waste in total for the 3 festival days. We also collected 4.30 tons of recyclable materials. As for compost, it was implanted in places such as ArtistWorld however the quantities were negligible.
🌎 Together, we will succeed in making Osheaga greener! 🌎

Well organized and well layed out. Expect to walk 10-12 km during the day since the stages are farther apart than at the old venue. River and Mountain are opposite facing each other not side by side.
Under a thick cloud of smoke and steam the mostly 18-25 yr old millennial crowd have proven that in their generation, “The Kisa are Alright”. Polite, respectful, and willing to cue up for all the basics of food, water, and the loo, year after year they are safe and secure and having the time of their life.
(53 yr old dad on my 5th consecutive Osheaga with my daughter and her friends- ok they ditch me soon as we enter the gates and we all have different schedules and shows to see but we still have time to bond over food or selfies).response / report this review -

Osheaga was amazing, music was great, lines generally small, the crowds I was in were great, good vibes. Drinks and water were reasonably priced. Venue is awesome. Not 5 stars because: leaving the festival is a pain and you may end up in a dense crowd of people moving very slowly for eternity, access to free water was poor and there was nothing to wash hands with at the washrooms, which is bizarre. The house/techno line up on day three was INSANE, after parties were a lot of fun.

Drove 7 hours to see our beloved Radiohead at Osheaga who were incredible but saw a lot of areas for improvement for the festival itselfmassive lineups for water stations in sweltering heat, hour long lineups for food trucks which could obviously not accommodate such massive crowds, uneven stone surface which made standing for hours extremely uncomfortable. I could go on. Having been to Austin a few years ago for ACL which is basically run flawlessly, I saw many areas for improvement at Osheaga. Still worth it to see Foals and Radiohead, but lots of logistics problems in my opinion.

Another amazing year! Third time and it never disappoints. Loved the fountain station and also the arrangement of the Green and Valley stations.
Bathroom waits were a non issue; to the nay syers, in the main stage area don't just get in the first line up for a stall you see, there are tons of stalls, never had to wait once, just keep going back till you see a free one, break the Canadian habit of jumping in the first line you see.
Really sad Frightened Rabbit and Disclosure couldn't make it. Would it make sense to work our sharing a lease for a private jet with Lollapalooza during the weekend for a back up with connection issues? Probably cost prohibitive.
Also think the mist station worked better with the sand to soak up water and avoid puddles by the end of the night. More water stations would be good, but appreciate the reasonable priced water bottles for the times thirsty, but Foals is starting in 5 mins and gotta get a good spot cause they are freaky amazing live!
Getting off the island is tricky by day's end but was glad the food trucks were open late cause by waiting it out even 30mins, the crowd at the metro wasn't too bad.
Did anyone else see Goldlink let his dj just play house of pain and teen spirt while he air guitared? That was my only disappointment, every other show i saw was lights out amazing, so many acts i was surprised by, wasn't fan of Leon Bridges until seeing him slay on stage.
Fewer bros would be a plus, but don't think there's anything you can do about that.
Looking forward to next year! Arcade Fire? LCD Soundsystem? Bring back Radiohead?

Weird to be at a Music Festival at 50. Especially in the city that I webt to University in. RHCP are my age and is Flea can walk in on his hands. You really can choose as you age.
Bands were great. The one thing they really need is a better map. I think I it was a bit to difficult to find things. They should have had the app on Google maps
People say, like they have about every previous generation, that they are self-centered and narsistic but from the people I met they were open, freindly, curious and generally great people. Makes me feel good about the future.
Only people I saw behaving badly were people around the platinum ( or whatever colour the elite sit in who were trying to storm the fire lane as they showed up for RADIOHEAD at the last second and were shocked they actually had to stand at the back of their enclave. Amazing festival but not very well ran, way oversold and they do NOT have the resources to support that many people, all the toilet paper gone by 4pm on the first day, hour long lines for bathrooms and water taps, that is just not okay. Ive been to festivals a third of the size of osheaga that had twice as many washrooms. Its great but they need to figure their shit out better. Id much rather have more bathrooms and things for convience than amusement park rides, priorities man, priorities.

This year's Osheaga was my first music festival experience (so I guess I don't have much to compare it to lol). It was an amazing time with amazing acts and pretty well-run! While I was disappointed that Disclosure couldn't be there, I feel like it was handled very well by the staff and I enjoyed seeing Gramatik, who I wouldn't have seen otherwise. Overall one of the best experiences I've had so far; hopefully I'll be back next year!

Great festival, perfect location, stuff for everyone (including kids - might be fun to have a kids concert, i have no idea who, but just a thought). Too many whiners on here, if you've got a gripe, put your big boy pants on and suck it up, there are 135k people on an island looking for the same shit, what do you expect? Well done Osheaga!

Amazing Festival. Ran smooth, interactive app was great music was great. Only two areas for improvement there are no hand washing stations near port a pottie and main stages are in the dirt and everyone smokes what's with that. Gross ! Otherwise 5 star

Great festival with a variety of music to see, fun activities and lovely people. Great vibe. It can get overcrowded when moving stages and drinks are $$$ but it's nothing the organizers haven't thought about I'm sure.
