This edition of Ornate Presents Feat. Madeleine Ertel solo, and "TVT"
Set 1 (7:30) will be feature a Toronto debut solo performance by trumpeter Madeleine Ertel.
Set 2 will feature the improvising trio "TVT", featuring Brooklyn Bohach on voice, and with both Kaelin Murphy and Ertel on trumpet. Having played together for over 2 years, TVT continues to develop its unique sound, combining open improvisation with through-composition.

About Sonic Perfume:
Sonic Perfume is an adventurous jazz-garage-rock-ish fusion group that draws influence form many musical styles. Splitting members between Toronto and Michigan, Phill Albert, Patrick O’Rielly, Patrick Booth, and Jonathan Taylor, push their music forward by exploring original improvisatory compositions, making crazy sounds, and building unique, in-the moment performances of that reflect their love of music. The group explores improvisation both in and out of form, time, instrumental roles, and always aspire to challenge their own expectations. Their first self-titled CD, Sonic Perfume, was recorded in 2014. The group has toured extensively in the MidWest and Eastern Canada, and in 2018 they have released two records Beautiful Landscape Vol 1, and Beautiful Landscape Vol 2.

This upcoming OP features Lake Affect, a long standing piano trio that just figured out it's name a couple month ago. Bringing together three distinctive compositional voices and mixing them with free improv and (sometimes) a sense of humor, Lake Affect's gunna make it rain.

This month we're presenting the works of Bass Clarinetist Manabu Kitada! Visiting all the way from Tokyo Japan, Manabu's an incredible player/composer with tons of groups/pieces to his name. A 3 time attendee of Ralph Alessi's SIM program, Manabu's gone on to play with such illustrious names as Tim Berne and Otomo Yoshihide (to name a few).
We'll be presenting all original music this month - all of it's beautiful. Come send this guy off right in his final week in Toronto!
