  Mak is truly a person who has that service and character that all businesses should model. He is friendly and kind and helpful. Had our dryer serviced a month ago by Mak. I called on a Saturday, spoke with Mak over the phone. I told him what noise our dryer was making and how long. He even heard it over the phone. Super knowledgeable! He was very professional and knew his stuff, he quoted me the job and parts over the phone, booked an appointment for the following Tuesday, he was very punctual and called as he was on his way over. He showed up with the parts and did the job efficiently. Our dryer only needed a very cheap part but we couldn't fix it ourselves. To top it off, he charged less than what we were quoted because it turns out we didn't need full parts replacement and he was very fast at getting the job done. Thank you SO much Mak.

  Mak is probably one of the most honest technicians I have come across. I highly recommend him. My Dryer wouldn't start on me. So I contacted couple appliance companies and then came across Northgate Appliance (Mak). Over the phone, he helped me troubleshoot and it was the Motor that failed. Mak told me to just buy the motor and replace it myself if I felt comfortable since it's a big job. Initially I was unsure but he further boosted my confidence so I gave it a shot. 3hours of own sweat and my dryer is now running :).
  I bought a Universal Motor from Amre Supply for $106 compared to $300 (OEM) from other sources, which was couple weeks delivery still. Mak confirmed that it's a good decision to go with Universal. Now my dryer is fixed for $100. He saved me close to $500 when you combine full service (initialsinitial diagnosis, repair service)a OEM motor. Thanks a lot Mak.

  Very honest guy. We kinda came to the conclusion that it would be best to just replace the machine while on the phone. Cause a part we needed. He found out it was not available for my machine. Have had a few bad experiences with big national chains in BC in the past. Where they charge me just to tell me "oh we can't fix it". I have a few rentals here in Edmonton. And while living outside the country finding good people to work on the condos is hard. Going to give the tenants Northgates number.

  Great service! Very professional knowledgeable, was able to diagnose the problem and provide a quote on the phone. Responding the needs very quickly, my fridge was fixed on the same day!! Reasonable pricing. Strongly recommend Northgate Appliances Service.
