The museum is housed in the elegant and beautifully restored Sir Harry Oakes Chateau, the home built in 1928 by the founder of the prosperous Lake Shore Mine. Explore our past, pioneers and prospectors, miners and millionaires, native legends, sports heroes, wildlife, and works of art. The Museum of Northern History has something for the whole family.
