Please join us in celebrating Ethiopian New Year on September 14, 2018 from 7pm until 9pm. The event will take place inside the Stratford Market Square and there will be an Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony, along with music and drums. Delicious desserts will also be served. Don't miss out, see you all there.

Please come out and celebrate the Ethiopian New Year at the Stratford Market Square on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 7 pm until 9 pm.

Hello everyone, I truly believe that Stratford is a wonderful community to live in and raise you kids in. I have a son myself , and it is a great place to grow up. I myself being an immigrant to Canada, have been treated with respect, kindness and dignity for as long as I have been living here with my wife and son. However, like any city, or town, there will always be pockets of hate, fear of the other, fear of that which is different, and this can sometimes tragically end up in bullying in schools or down right violence against another person. I believe in absolute equality for all persons, and it is sad to hear of such instances in our own community. I think the only way we can combat these issues is right in our own hearts and homes, what we teach our children, how we treat our neighbours, and how we treat ourselves. I also believe that raisimg awareness of such issues is important, and having a community discussion about these issues openly and candidly, while making an effort to come up with solutions that will make a difference. These acts of hate are meant to separate us, but we must stand together as a community and fight it
